Premiere Stages, the professional theatre company in residence at Kean University, is now accepting submissions for the 15th annual Premiere Play Festival. This yearly competition for unproduced scripts offers developmental and production opportunities to four playwrights with strong ties to the greater metropolitan area (New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Delaware).
Premiere Stages at Kean University is now presenting playwright, Craig Garcia's gripping family drama, 'Linger' through Sunday, July 29. The play was recently selected from over 570 submissions as the winner of the 2018 Premiere Play Festival. The production features superb direction by the theatre's Producing Artistic Director, John J. Wooten and an excellent cast.

Kaplan, Sarah Kathryn Makl and Danielle Skraastad. John J. Wooten, producing artistic director of Premiere Stages, will direct.

AcclaimedWashington actor Craig Wallace returns to Ford's Theatre to perform the role of Ebenezer Scrooge for the company's holiday production of 'A Christmas Carol.' Beginning November 16, acclaimed actor Craig Wallace returns to Ford's Theatre to play Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol a production heralded as a rich visual and vocal treat (TheaterMania) and infectiously jolly (Washington Post). Performances continue through December 31, 2017.
Reacting to enthusiastic critical and audience response, Theater J is extending the run of its current production of Neil Simon's Brighton Beach Memoirs by one week, to May 14.
Starting in the 1950's everyone knew that Neil Simon could write hilarious jokes and craft entertaining comedies. But in 1983, when Brighton Beach Memoirs premiered on Broadway, it became abundantly clear that Simon's heart is as robust as his funny bone. The first of his "Eugene trilogy" of semi-autobiographical plays, Brighton Beach Memoirs runs at Theater J from April 5-May 7, 2017.
