Centenary Stage Company's 2018 - 19 theatrical season continues with the National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere of Jennifer Fawcett's award winning Apples in Winter.

Green Shirt Studio alumni Billy Baraw and Benjamin A. Eisner, along with Green Shirt instructor and co-founder Sommer Austin, are collaborating with Knitted Heart Productions in Milwaukee to produce the short film, Abra Macabre!, written and directed by Eisner, slated to begin filming this winter in Cedarburg, WI.

The Office of the City Council will honor Sanford Meisner and The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre will be recognized with a Proclamation in honor of their 90th Anniversary. The Proclamation will be presented by NYC Council Member Ben Kallos at The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre (340 East 54th Street) on Thursday, October 18th at 2 pm.

The critically acclaimed theatre company, Mason Holdings, will premiere their new site-specific production of Consumption, at the Beverly Social Club in Kensington Brooklyn. The limited engagement runs November 9 - December 8.

WaterTower Theatre Artistic Director Joanie Schultz announced today the naming of "The Terry Martin Main Stage." The dedication ceremony is set for Opening Night of the company's first show of the 2018-2019 Season, A Doll's House.

The Green Room 42 Presents stage and television performer, Andrea Wolff, in her new cabaret, I Can't Trace Time, a passionate and whimsical look at the arc of life. Featuring a signature mixture of pop and Broadway, Andrea Wolff's I Can't Trace Time features a master entertainer who has been widely lauded for her strong comic timing, offbeat and compelling characterizations and superb taste in music. Prolific, award winning British Composer and Musical Director/Arranger, Jude Obermuller will lead a quintet and Special Guest Artist, guitarist Sean Harkness will appear. The very first number in the stage version of Saturday Night Fever is an ensemble piece, Stayin' Alive, which sets the tone for the raw, realistic musical drama which follows. 'This show gave us a little bit of an edge and by bookending it with Beauty and the Beast and Singin' in the Rain, which are sweet and a little sugary, this enabled us to do something a bit different - something with an edge, bite and grit,' says Maine State Music Theatre's Artistic Director Curt Dale Clark. Clark, together with cast members Jacob Tischler (Tony Manero), Alexandra Matteo (Stephanie Mangano), Christina Carlucci (Pauline), and Anthony J. Gasbarre III (Joey), are speaking to BWW's Carla Maria Verdino-Sullwold in the season's third Peek Behind the Curtain panel discussion at Curtis Memorial Library, devoted to the exploration of the company's current main stage production of Saturday Night Fever, playing on the Pickard stage until August 4.

A Life Behind Bars was universally praised by critics in New York City during its 2017 run at the Laurie Beechman Theater on Theatre Row. Venturing into East Austin as a theatre- goer is bound to deliver the more experimental artists and their creations within Austin's theatre community. Blurring the lines between performance and therapy/social commentary, Bottle Alley Theatre Company present SELF PORTRAITS. An ensemble-driven collection of scenes (for lack of a better term) that present more like improvisation, or an open mic variety show but with a little more rehearsal. With the content developed by the performers, monologues are the consistent pulse through the show, allowing the actors the opportunities to share their personal and sometimes traumatizing stories. With soliloquies ranging from terminally ill family to intense personal reflection, the collection of artists sharing their tales show bravery and clearly display the therapeutic nature art and more specifically performance art, can provide to survivors and victims alike. Peppered throughout the emotional feast are quick dances breaks, funny skits and political sentiment of a younger generation fed up with the current system. These young people have found passion in their expression, passion both upbeat and completely devastating.

David F. Slone has been blessed to spend much of his life attending and performing in fabulous shows. Nonetheless, he's particularly giddy to be able to celebrate his the culmination of his fifth decade on the planet by presenting this ridiculously eclectic evening of song, dance, magic, circus, comedy, and more!
