Paper Mill Playhouse will soon present the New Jersey premiere of Chasing Rainbows: The Road to Oz. Chasing Rainbows features a book by Marc Acito, musical adaptation & additional music by David Libby and conceived by and additional lyrics by Tina Marie Casamento. Chasing Rainbows: The Road to Oz begins performances Thursday, September 26, 2019, and will continue through Sunday, October 27, 2019, at Paper Mill Playhouse (22 Brookside Drive, Millburn, NJ).

Join members of the Broadway community for an inspiring evening of heart-centered music and musings honoring the fearless Maggie Hollinbeck (ONCE TOUR). Ticket proceeds will go directly to Ms. Hollinbeck, a two-time breast cancer survivor, to offset her recent medical costs and assist on her valiant road to recovery. The event will be on Monday, May 13 at The Triad at 7PM (doors open at 6:30PM). The Triad is located at 158 W. 72nd Street, between Amsterdam and Columbus on the Upper West Side. As BroadwayWorld reported last week, Chasing Rainbows: The Road to Oz, a new Broadway-bound musical about the early life of Judy Garland, from her vaudeville sister act through her rise at MGM to win the role of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, just had an industry presentation in New York City. The musical has reportedly earned the approval of one very important guest, Liza Minnelli. She told Deadline:

Broadway and popular music stars come together for a special performance of protest songs and political satire, Songs of Protest, on Wednesday, March 29th at 9:30 PM at Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit the National Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union.
