Although no shows opened during the Spring of 2021 due to the pandemic, April has already demonstrated that Broadway is back again with the opening of ten new productions! THE ROAD THEATRE COMPANY and Taylor Gilbert, Founder/Artistic Director together with Sam Anderson, Artistic Director, are thrilled to announce that the critically acclaimed, world premiere production of THE PLAY YOU WANT, written by Bernardo Cubría and directed by Michael John Garcés will have a three-week extension following its announced closing on April 24.
Austin Pendleton, the award winning actor/writer/director currently starring in 'The Minutes' on Broadway, will direct a reading of 'King Lear' at the AMT Theater May 1st, 6pm. The reading stars Charles E. Gerber as Lear and is produced by the Workshop Theater Company as part of its annual 'Will-A-Thon' celebrating the week of Shakespeare's birthday. It will be presented at AMT, 354 West 45th Street.
Performances officially resumed on April 12 after the show was on a brief hiatus due to members of the cast testing positive for COVID-19. At this time, both Daniel Craig, and his co-star Ruth Negga, are performing in the show.

Macbeth has cancelled all performances through April 9th, 2022 due to positive COVID test results within the company.
Ars Nova has announced additional programming running between April 27 – June 24, 2022. All events will take place in-person at Ars Nova (511 West 54th Street, Manhattan) for $15 and online via Ars Nova Supra for $10.
