Pitlochry Festival Theatre is set to open its 2025 Studio season with the world première of Milly Sweeney's debut play Water Colour, winner of the St Andrews Playwriting 2024 Award.

This riotous re-telling of Robert Louis Stevenson’s adventure novella is jam-packed with 20th century pop music and 18th century romance. Performed by a dynamic ensemble of actor-musicians, Kidnapped is a colourful coming-of-age story - shot-through with Stevenson’s trademark blend of poetry, humour and heart.

This swashbuckling new production from the National Theatre of Scotland, adapted by Isobel McArthur with Michael John McCarthy, co-directed by Isobel McArthur and Gareth Nicholls, premieres at the Beacon Arts Centre in Greenock in March 2023 before touring to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness, Perth, Newcastle and Brighton.   

Rehearsals began this week for the fourth West End cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child who will start performances at the Palace Theatre in London on 22 May 2019 following the final performance from the current cast on 19 May 2019.

Today, 30 July 2018, on the eve of Harry Potter's birthday, the anniversary of the world premiere and the start of the third year for the London Production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Palace Theatre, the Producers announce further tickets to be released for sale on 18 September 2018, at 11 GMT, for performances from 10 April - 28 July 2019. Tickets are priced from £15 per part and for every performance there are over 300 tickets at £20 or less per part.

The new West End cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child began performances at the Palace Theatre in London's West End on 23 May 2018. Jamie Ballard plays Harry Potter, Susie Trayling plays Ginny Potter and Joe-Idris Roberts plays their son Albus Potter. Thomas Aldridge plays Ron Weasley with Nicola Alexis as Hermione Granger and Helen Aluko as their daughter Rose Granger Weasley. Playing Draco Malfoy is James Howard with Jonathan Case as his son Scorpius Malfoy.
