Alt singer-songwriter Eyedress releases his latest single, “Mrs. Valentine,” out now via RCA Records.  The first release from Eyedress' upcoming mixtape, set for release this year, “Mrs. Valentine” is an ‘80s-influenced love song apt for the holiday, set to synth and percussion-driven new wave production. 

What do you get when you take a fiercely determined young woman, her three vastly different but equally loyal sisters, an imagination that can create whole operatic tragedies in the space of an old attic?  Little Women the Musical, which made a stop at Thalia Mara Hall in Jackson, Mississippi on February 6th.  The second in the Broadway in Jackson season presented by Trustmark, the show brought to life a story beloved by generations and set it to music.  Presented by Big League Productions, Inc., the production itself ran the entire gamut of emotion in just a couple of hours.

Internationally renowned Bristol-based sea shanty sensations The Longest Johns have released their brand new album Voyage. To celebrate the release the band have rounded up their seafaring fans for a rowdy nautical knees up in the video for their brand new single ‘The Llandoger', filmed in The Llandoger Trow pub in Bristol which inspired the song.

With the big Homecoming performance around the corner, the Sea Mink-ettes must battle malfunctioning facilities, tiring bodies, rising tempers… and a supernatural shift in reality. Vivian J.O. Barnes’ THE SENSATIONAL SEA MINK-ETTES, premiering at Woolly Mammoth through March 3, is a wholly unique show: hilarious, bawdy, unsettling, and poignant.

BETWEEN BROADWAY, designed to fit neatly into the space between a matinee and evening show, is a new series at Don't Tell Mama where theater lovers can grab a bite and some drinks as an add-on before or after a show (or just as its own thing). I spoke to co-creators Dave Christensen and Sarah Ziegler, and producer Bill DeSimone, about the show.

The cast has been set for A TASTE OF HONEY by Shelagh Delaney and directed by Emma Baggott  at Royal Exchange. Performances run 15 March – 13 April.
