Today, Nottingham Playhouse announces the full casting for Adrian Scarborough’s adaptation of Alan Bennett’s comic novella The Clothes They Stood Up In. Opening in September, this is the first time the popular story has been told on stage and kicks off the Playhouse’s Autumn season.

The Joyce Theater Foundation will travel down the rabbit hole this summer with MOMIX and Artistic Director Moses Pendelton’s latest creation, ALICE. Inspired by Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, this mind (and body) bending evening-length adventure will play a three-week summer engagement at The Joyce Theater from July 6-24.

Legendary Broadway performer and Tony, Academy, and Golden Globe Award winner Joel Grey (Cabaret, Wicked, Anything Goes) will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2022 Chita Rivera Awards.

Jamie Galen will perform the first act of Tru, Playwright Jay Presson Allen’s adaptation of the works of Truman Capote at Hollywood Fringe Festival 2022 at Three Clubs Stage Room (1123 N. Vine Street Hollywood) on Saturday, June 4th, 11th, 18th 25thand Sunday June 19th at 7:30 pm. Carnegie Hall will present renowned conductor-composer John Williams, celebrated violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter, and the legendary Philadelphia Orchestra in Across The Stars: The Music of John Williams, a one-night-only gala performance on Thursday, April 21 at 7:00 p.m.

Manhattan Theatre Club is presenting the American premiere of Golden Shield, written by Anchuli Felicia King (White Pearl) and directed by May Adrales (Vietgone at MTC). The ensemble will feature Cindy Cheung, Fang Du, Kristen Hung, Daniel Jenkins, Michael C. Liu, Max Gordon Moore, Ruibo Qian and Gillian Saker.

Queer|Art, New York City’s home for the creative and professional development of LGBTQ+ artists, has announced the upcoming Winter season of Queer|Art|Film, returning in person February 14th – May 9th.

Broadway legend Joel Grey was honored this week by The Brooklyn Diner with a re-naming of their famous Matzo Ball soup!

Violeta Angelova, former principal dancer of the Suzanne Farrell Ballet, and Matthew Prescott, a former member of the Suzanne Farrell Ballet, and who has danced with the Joffrey Ballet and the Dance Theatre of Harlem, will appear as guest artists in the Ballet Arts of Jackson’s production of The Nutcracker on December 10, 11, and 12, 2021 at the Carl Perkins Civic Center in Jackson, Tennessee.
