Following its sold-out run at Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) in 2016, shake and stir theatre co's stage adaptation of Roald Dahl's family favourite George's Marvellous Medicine returns to the Cremorne Theatre from 21 August to 5 September 2018, with new performances added due to popular demand.

This summer and fall, Tuacahn Center for the Arts is presenting three exciting productions in repertory at its one-of-a-kind outdoor amphitheatre, including one of the very first productions in the world of DreamWorks' THE PRINCE OF EGYPT, the first production of Roald Dahl's MATILDA THE MUSICAL following its national tour, and one of the first regional productions of Rodgers and Hammerstein's CINDERELLA. Three actors were happy to speak with BroadwayWorld about their time at Tuacahn.

Complete casting has been announced for the national tour of Roald Dahl's CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY which will launch this September.

Tony Award-winning Children's Theatre Company is holding auditions for all student roles for the four-time, Tony Award-winning production of Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical at Mall of America on August 18, 2018 between 9:30am to 3:30pm. CTC is encouraging students of any/all genders, racial backgrounds, abilities, and experience levels to audition. All student roles are being considered for this and other CTC productions through this audition. There will be an additional call-back audition at a later date.

The Royal Shakespeare Company's Matilda The Musical has announced new casting with Hayden Tee playing Miss Trunchbull alongside Rob Compton and Holly Dale Spencer as Mr and Mrs Wormwood. Gina Beck will continue to play Miss Honey, having joined the company in September 2017. Isobel Hubble and Francesca McKeown will join Sarah Munday and Olivia Wells in sharing the title role of Matilda. The multi award-winning production is currently playing its seventh year in the West End and is booking until 20 October 2019.

Actors Reaching Out has been presenting various events and productions in the Central Florida area since 2015. After 3 successful years and thousands of volunteer hours, the organization announced plans for expanding the organization's mission to the Tampa Bay area and the Gainesville area, tripling the force of building community through theater.

ZACH Theatre announces an exciting new season add-on and schedule change for the 2018-19 Season. Back by popular vote, Texas' brassy blue Governor Ann Richards will return to the stage next summer with the hit play, ANN running on The Topfer July 31-September 8, 2019 under the direction of original Broadway Director Benjamin Endsley Klein. With the summer stage appearance of the saucy Ann Richards, that loveable East Berlin gender bending rocker Hedwig will now kick off the new year moving Hedwig and the Angry Inch to January, running January 23-March 3, 2019 in The Topfer under the direction of Kevin Cahoon.

I do not believe I have ever seen a more 'kid-friendly' theatrical event than the Olney Theatre Company's H.M.S. PINAFORE. Olney has welcomed back 'The Hypocrites' Chicago based troupe (they last appeared during the summer of 2016) who have taken their productions of both PINAFORE and PIRATES OF PENZANCE previously to the Pasadena Playhouse, and the Skirball Center in New York. 'The Hypocrites', founded in 1997 by Artistic Director Sean Graney have taken their repertories all over the country. 'The House Theatre of Chicago' has become the fiscal agent of 'The Hypocrites' and now serves as a co-producer.

Individual show tickets for the Walnut Street Theatre's 2018-19 Season will go on sale to the public online on August 12. The Willy Wonka and Charlies have been announced for the national tour. Broadway veteran Noah Weisberg (South Pacific, Enron, Elf, Legally Blonde) will star as the extraordinary chocolate maker, Willy Wonka, with Henry Boshart (age 10), Collin Jeffery (age 11) and Rueby Wood (age 11), alternating in the title role of Charlie Bucket. Full casting will be announced at a later date. 'We are thrilled to bring this captivating production on the road and are so excited for Broadway's Noah Weisberg to bring his immense talent to the role of Willy Wonka and to introduce our three Charlie Buckets to audiences across North America,' said producers Mark Kaufman, Kevin McCormick and Caro Newling.
