Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater have announced all jazz programming running May 22 through June 4.

Few people knew John Lennon as intimately as May Pang. Pang was Lennon's lover during the infamous 'Lost Weekend' which lasted 18 months during late 1973 through 1975. During this highly creative time for Lennon, Pang took candid photos of Lennon in a comfortable, relaxed environment.

Birdland Jazz Club and Birdland Theater have announced jazz programming running May 15 through May 28.

Global superstar and recent Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Dolly Parton, has released 'World on Fire' from her upcoming debut rock album, 'Rockstar.' The ever-evolving Parton teamed up with an all-star roster of musicians for the 30-song collection which includes 9 original tracks and 21 iconic Rock anthems. The album features Miley Cyrus.

The fully renovated State Theatre New Jersey presents Dave Mason: Endangered Species Tour 2023 on Wednesday, June 7 at 7:30pm. Opening for Dave Mason is Southern rock group, The Georgia Thunderbolts. Tickets range from $29-$79.

Josh Welsh, President of Film Independent, directly oversees all Film Independent programming, including Bring The Noise: If These Walls Could Sing at The Wallis on May 18. The evening is planned as a celebration of renowned photographer and filmmaker Mary McCartney’s film, If These Walls Could Sing about the many music industry artists who recorded inside Abbey Road Studios in London, which is now streaming on Disney+. The evening at The Wallis will include a live orchestral performance of songs recorded at Abbey Road Studios conducted by Mark Graham, and a Q&A with Mary McCartney moderated by Academy-Award winning filmmaker Morgan Neville.

The Marsh San Francisco has announced additional free performances of award-winning playwright and actor Brian Copeland's The Waiting Period on select dates in May and July 2023. This deeply moving and surprisingly funny work outlines Copeland's own struggles with depression and suicidal thought, and is presented at no cost to remove all barriers for those who may be struggling with depression themselves.

The 18-track record boasts a number of fan favorites and two encores including “Alibis,” “Find Out Who Your Friends Are,” “Paint Me A Birmingham” and “Time Marches On.” Lawrence also puts his twist on a couple of the genre's most recognizable tracks including “In Color” and “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.”
