Choreographers from KINKY BOOTS & More Present New Work at 6th Bi-Annual BC Beat Showcase, 11/11

Broadway's most daring, curious, and talented artists are preparing to gather at Cielo for the Fall 2013 BC Beat on Monday November 11th, the showcase and dance party with it's own rules for sharing work and connecting artists. Doors open at 7pm and guests are welcomed by the evening's choreographers, Charlie Sutton, Cindy Salgado, Caleb Teicher, Kyle Mullins, Tricia Brouk, Josh Assor, Rickey Tripp, Jennifer Jancuska, and performers including Daniel Watts, Jennifer Locke, Ephraim Sykes, Aurelia Michael, Voltaire Wade-Greene, Masi Yahya James, Amber Jackson, Elizabeth Burke, Macy Sullivan, Ryan VanDenBoom, Matthew Steffens, Heather Hamilton, Shiloh Goodin, Liz Piccoli, Paul Romero, Borris York, Rachel Guest, Matthew Oaks and Michael Williams as Broadway veteran Justin Johnson curates music.

Dare to Go Beyond (D2GB) Children's Performing Arts Camp, an initiative of R.Evolucion Latina, successfully ended its run on Friday August 2nd. More than 200 kids, ages 7-17, gathered at the headquarters of Pearl Studio to share their experiences, learn to dance, sing and narrate their stories in creative ways and with a fascinating focus: Cultural Exchange. During the five-day camp participants took classes with some of the most experienced actors, dancers, and choreographers working on Broadway today. Check out a look back below!

Dare to Go Beyond (D2GB) Children's Performing Arts Camp, an initiative of R.Evolucion Latina, successfully ended its run on Friday August 2nd. More than 200 kids, ages 7-17, gathered at the headquarters of Pearl Studio to share their experiences, learn to dance, sing and narrate their stories in creative ways and with a fascinating focus: Cultural Exchange. R.Evolucion Latina received a record breaking number of applications for the 6th Annual Dare to Go Beyond (D2GB) Children's Performing Arts Camp, scheduled for July 29th-August 2nd in New York City. After evaluating applications, over 200 children from schools, organizations and individual applicants from underserved communities have been selected to take classes in acting, voice, music and dance.

R.Evolución Latina Hosts 2013 Beyond Workshop Series, Now thru 3/28

R.Evolucion Latina's 2013 BWS program is celebrating cultural exchange for the first time awarding 52 scholarships, 18 of which were given to international students from Peru and Colombia inviting them to participate in the program and join students from NYC. The educational empowerment program has been re-designed to create well rounded performing artists by immersing students in classes of the 3 disciplines that are the components of musical theatre - acting, dance and voice. Classes will take place at the National Institute of dance in Harlem and students been that have selected will commit to 2 intense weeks of training.
