Lucille Lortel Theatre has announced the first guests of 2022 for its “Live at The Lortel” podcast series. Now in its third season, “Live at The Lortel” is hosted by Eric Ostrow and co-hosts Joy DeMichelle and John-Andrew Morrison.

Lee Goldsmith, lyricist and book writer for what is thought to be the first musical on Broadway to feature lead characters who were gay (“Sextet,” which played the Bijou Theatre in 1974), died Oct. 5 in Cutler Bay, FL, at the age of 98.

Laila Robins Replaces Kate Burton in SEJANUS, HIS FALL

Today, Red Bull Theater announced that Laila Robins will join the cast of the first public presentation of a new dramatization of Ben Jonson’s Sejanus, His Fall, adapted and directed by Nathan Winkelstein, Red Bull’s Associate Artistic Director. Ms Robins replaces the previously announced Kate Burton, who withdrew due to a scheduling conflict.
