The play adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher and Andy Garcia, produced in association with Frank Mancuso and Andy Garcia, and directed by Doug Hughes, honors the original story in which disillusioned World War II veteran Frank McCloud (Danny Pino) travels to a hotel in Key Largo to pay his respects to Nora (Rose McIver), the young widow of a fallen solider, who now runs the hotel with its owner, her blind father (Tony Plana) who claims to have a?oeseena?? and heard it all during his lifetime. What McCloud doesn't count on is being confronted by an entirely different type of battlefield with mobsters who have overtaken the hotel, led by the ruthless Johnny Rocco (Andy Garcia, who dominates the stage channeling Al Pacino in The Godfather to the hilt), who is waiting for the culmination of a drug deal. As a hurricane barrels toward the Keys, tempers flare and gunfire blares, forcing McCloud to face his demons in order to take down a monster.

The world premiere adaptation of KEY LARGO, already in previews, will open tonight, November 14, 2019 at the Geffen Playhouse. Packed with award winners all around, Oscar nominated actor Andy Garcia stars as Johnny Rocco in his co-adaptation with Jeffrey Hatcher (based on the play by Maxwell Anderson and the screenplay by Richard Brooks and John Huston). I had the wonderful opportunity to grill Johnny Rocco's moll Gaye Dawn, or rather, to ask a few questions of the wonderful actress who plays her - Joely Fisher.

Geffen Playhouse today announced the full cast for its world premiere adaptation of Key Largo, directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes (Doubt, Farragut North) and featuring Academy Award nominee Andy Garcia (Mama Mia! The Geffen Playhouse production is adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher and Andy Garcia, based on the play by Maxwell Anderson and the screenplay by Richard Brooks & John Huston. Original music is composed by 10-time GRAMMY Award winner and Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient Arturo Sandoval.

Breaking Glass Pictures and OUTshine Film Festival are proud to announce the World Premiere of the alluring documentary ALL MALE, ALL NUDE: JOHNSONS, sequel to the beloved documentary All Male, All Nude from director Gerald McCullouch. All Male, All Nude: Johnsons will premiere on Sunday, September 15 at 6:30PM at the Gateway Theater (1820 E. Indie Rights and Organically Grown Productions have announced the Digital HD debut of Michael McGuire's Aquarians.  Shot and set in the snowy Midwest, Aquarians is headlined by three-time Daytime Emmy winner Chandler Massey (Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series, 'Days of Our Lives').  The supporting cast includes Shane Coffey ('Pretty Little Liars'), Tracey Fairaway (A Hologram for the King) and Richard Riehle (The Man from Earth, Office Space).

The coming-of-age 80s comedy “Pitching Tents” by indie production company Meritage Pictures ('Take Me Home,' '20 Weeks') is set to debut on Hulu June 1st, and the title is also available for purchase on popular VOD platforms.  

Kent Alterman, President of Comedy Central announced today that the Emmy® Award-winning Comedy Central series, Drunk History, has been renewed for a sixth season with sixteen episodes. Created for television by Derek Waters and Jeremy Konner, Drunk History is produced by Central Productions and executive produced by Waters and Konner, along with Gary Sanchez Productions' Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Owen Burke. Ian Friedman and Daniel Wolfberg are the Executives in Charge of Production for Comedy Central. The fifth season currently airs on Tuesdays at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.

MacRae and produced under his production Sweet Tooth Prouductions, the film stars Rodney (Steve Olson), pushing thirty with no direction, faces homelessness before winding up in the home of a hardened, tough, unrelated to him mother figure and the unlikely family she and Rodney create for each other over time.

As part of a special tribute to honor the U.S. military and U.S. military veterans during the opening ceremonies at the Garden State Film Festival (GSFF), the featured film that evening will be Last Man Club.
