For many years, Miss Saigon was celebrated as a masterful work of musical theater. However, it has faced its fair share of criticism for its alleged 'political incorrectness' issues since its revival in the West End and on Broadway a few years ago.
Presented by Opera Australia, Cameron Mackintosh’s Revival of MISS SAIGON reunites the creatives from the 2004 Touring Production, which reached Australia in 2007, to reincorporate elements of the 1989 West End original while shifting the focus to make a more powerful message than the central love story.
Musical Theatre West will present 42nd Street (February 9-25), Million Dollar Quartet (April 12-28), Newsies (July 12-28) and Ain't Misbehavin' (October 18-November 3) in 2024 season.
