In a darkened Frank Sinatra Dining Room an off stage voice using that classic Dean Martin intro ' And Now Direct From The Bar' announced co-hosts Bill Boggs, Bruce Charet and countless actors, singers, celebrities and friends to toast one of the most beloved entertainers in show business…..Deana Martin.

Deana Martin, daughter of entertainment legend Dean Martin, is set to be honored with the official title of Trobairitz by the Friar's Club in New York City. The prestigious title will be formally presented to Martin on June 4 as part of 'A Deana Martin Toast.'

The cast has been finalized for the upcoming reading of THE GIRL IN THE RED DRESS on Monday, May 14th (8p-10p) at the National Arts Club (Gramercy Park, South).

Newly signed to Yep Roc Records, and currently working on his label debut, Texas singer-songwriter Alejandro Escovedo will embark on a 13-date tour run throughout May and June. Kicking off May 2, at the opening of Coney Island Baby in New York City, the show will be the first of five nights with his band during the month of May.

On May 14th at the National Arts Club (8p-10p), members and guests will 'get into something red' when the new, original musical - 'THE GIRL IN THE RED DRESS' - has its next reading.

Synth-pop and dance music pioneers, SPANDAU BALLET, have been added to line up of the official SXSW Tribute to Lou Reed. The SXSW Tribute to Lou Reed is a multi-artist, official SXSW concert event that will feature a curated roster of talent drawn from official Festival participants and special guests brought in specifically for this presentation. The concert will highlight the diversity of young and legacy talent at SXSW as well as the rich diversity of Lou Reed's highly influential catalogue. The artistic style and high quality production values will be reflective and worthy of Reed's esteemed career, and framed in the uniquely international cross-section of artists that is a hallmark of SXSW. Hosted by Richard Barone and Alejandro Escovedo, the event will be held at the historic Paramount Theatre in Austin on Friday, March 14, 20014 at 8 PM. Soul Boys of the Western World is a voyage through the 80s in the company of Spandau Ballet, one of the decade's most iconic bands. This archive-only documentary film tells the story of a group of working-class London lads who created a global music Empire, but at a price none of them imagined. Using the band's own home movies and showcasing newly discovered material, this film takes us into the heart of the era, and the cultural, political and personal landscape that formed the backdrop to the band's story. Performers include Gas Lamp Players' cast of The Secret Garden, Tracy Stark, and DC Anderson. The featured performer in the "Young Musician Moment" will be Lauren Barr. Gas Lamp Players will be presenting the Broadway Musical, The Secret Garden, November 22-24. The Secret Garden tells the story of Mary Lennox, a young girl orphaned during the cholera epidemic in India, who is sent to live on a mysterious estate in Yorkshire, England. The estate's many wonders include a magic garden which beckons the children with haunting melodies, and the "Dreamers," spirits from Mary's past, who guide her through her new life, dramatizing The Secret Garden's compelling tale. Based on the famous novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, the stunning musical score and classic story combine to create a powerful and uplifting theatrical experience about the healing power of the earth, which allows for love to grow, heal and flourish. Pianist/Arranger/Conductor/SingerSongwriter and Miranda Recording Artist, Tracy Stark is a 6-time MAC Award winner, in the categories of Music Director, Piano Bar Entertainer, and Song of the Year. She is also a Bistro Award winner for Musical Direction, and winner of the Dottie Burman Songwriter of the Year Award.
