Bell-Isserlis-Denk Trio Comes to The Soraya

Hailed as a dream team of performers, longtime musical collaborators and friends, violinist Joshua Bell, cellist Steven Isserlis and pianist Jeremy Denk, will unite this spring 2019 for their first-ever trio tour stoping at The Soraya on May 8. The three artists will perform hallmarks of the trio repertoire in acclaimed venues across the East and West coasts. Though Bell, Isserlis and Denk have previously released the landmark 2016 recording For the Love of Brahms together on Sony Classical, these performances mark the first occasions in which they will tour live as an ensemble. The Brahms album has been praised as Absolutely essential listening for the classical fan well-crafted, flawless killer stuff.

T Bone Burnett Teams With Jay Bellerose and Keefus Ciancia For The Invisible Light Trilogy

April 12 marks the release of Acoustic Space, the first full-length installment in The Invisible Light trilogy helmed by Grammy- and Oscar-winning producer T Bone Burnett in collaboration with Jay Bellerose and Keefus Ciancia. The albums explore the idea that society has been subject to over a century of electronic programming, a “programming pandemic,” which is causing us to lose our ability to differentiate fact from fiction. Burnett describes the trilogy as “an experimental song cycle” which consists of a single piece of poetry broken down into distinct songs. The Invisible Light: Acoustic Space track “Being There” premieres today, listen/share HERE. Regina Spektor Releases New Single 'Birdsong'

Regina Spektor's new track “Birdsong,” is out today via Sire Records/Warner Bros. Records. The track is prominently featured in the lavish episode, “Panorama,” of the acclaimed Amazon series, The Romanoffs, Matthew Weiner's Mad Men follow-up. Regina and Matthew's collaboration was the natural outcome of a relationship formed when the two met at an event honoring Orange is the New Black creator Jenji Kohan and producer Shonda Rhimes. Their friendship was cemented when the two bonded over poetry, music, the creative process and their shared infatuation with Paul Simon at the American Academy of Poets' Poetry and the Creative Mind in 2016.
