The New York Pops, led by Music Director Steven Reineke, kicks off its 2018-19 season with Roll Over Beethoven: A Different Kind of Orchestra on Friday, October 19 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall. The orchestra is joined by three time "Las Vegas Headliner of the Year" singer Frankie Moreno, plus band and a pair of dancers, for an evening of rock 'n' roll favorites by Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and others. Last night's star-studded event, Backstage at the Geffen, at the Geffen Playhouse grossed more than $1 million for the theater's education, outreach and artistic initiatives. The fundraiser, which recognizes leaders in the artistic community, supports the theater's mission to produce original, quality work and raises funds for its education and community engagement programs, honored legendary stage and screen performer Dick Van Dyke and award-winning composer, lyricist and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda. Comedian Jim Carrey presented the Distinction in Theater Award to Van Dyke and EGOT award-winning actress Rita Moreno presented the Education Impact Award to Miranda.

The album will debut digitally exclusively on Bandcamp in May and will be released widely on all digital platforms later this year. Die Happy is the follow-up to Taub's debut album Visitors, released in 2015.
