Grammy and Latin GRAMMY winning band Ozomatli will headline The Music Center's first annual free concert, as part of the Live at The Music Center series, on Saturday, September 3, at 8:00 p.m., on Jerry Moss Plaza.

May 6, 2022 - Two-time Grammy Award winning Los Angeles-based band,  OZOMATLI,  continues to release new music in 2022 – “Sunsets,” from the forthcoming album Marching On, is now available on all digital services. Listen to “Sunsets” now. Marching On is their first studio album since the critically acclaimed, 2017 reggae twisted Non-Stop: Mexico to Jamaica in 2017 and marks their debut with new label, Blue Élan Records.  The band is also hitting the road to preview this new music live. Entertainment on two stages will include the Space Sanchos; Louie Cruz Beltran; dance folklorico from Sol de Fuego and members of the Tierra Blanca Arts Center; Aztec dance from Huitzilopochtli; music from Son Jarochicano Los Cambalache and Mariachi Corazon de Magnolia; and stilt walking by La Calaca Guapachosa / skull dancer Ismael Ramirez.

The Pasadena Playhouse (Artistic Director Sheldon Epps, and Executive Director Elizabeth Doran) embarks on a new initiative titled Mi Historia, Mi Manera, which aims to build a model of artistic co-creation between its institution and Latina/o adults, artists, and communities in the San Gabriel Valley. Mi Historia, Mi Manera is supported by a generous grant from the James Irvine Foundation, and is an extension of The Playhouse's long standing Wells Fargo Theatrical Diversity Project, founded in 2005 by Artistic Director, Sheldon Epps. The Diversity Project is dedicated to promoting culturally diverse programming at The Pasadena Playhouse through the active engagement of artists, staff, volunteers and audiences of all ages, genders, orientations and ethnicities in exploring and celebrating the wealth of creativity in our world today.
