The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) is now accepting submissions for the 2018 Next Link Project.

On August 21st, over 70 caring members of the Broadway community, including some of the biggest stars on Broadway, will be sleeping on the streets of New York City in support of the homeless youth at Covenant House.

Now in its fourteenth year, the 2017 New York Musical Festival is up and running through August 6th at The Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row, The Peter Jay Sharp Theater, Playwrights Horizons Rehearsal Studio, The Green Room 42 @ YOTEL, and The Castillo Theatre in New York City. Dan Markley serves as NYMF Executive Director and Rachel Sussman serves as Producing Artistic Director.  BroadwayWorld was on hand for opening night and you can check out photos below!

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) has announced Tony, Grammy, and Emmy Award winner Audra McDonald (Shuffle Along; Ragtime; The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess) as 2017 NYMF Honorary Chair.

Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winner Wendy Wasserstein's prescient play AN AMERICAN DAUGHTER returns to New York tonight at 7pm for a one night-only, sold-out benefit reading at the Tony Kiser Theatre (305 West 43rd Street) directed by Emmy, Golden Globe, and Academy Award winner Christine Lahti.

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) announced today the initial lineup for 2017 NYMF. Among the shows announced in the lineup are the Next Link Project musical selections, as well as invited production selections. Now in its fourteenth year, the 2017 Festival will take place July 10th through August 6th at locations around midtown Manhattan in New York City. Dan Markley serves as NYMF Executive Director & Producer and Rachel Sussman serves as Director of Programming & Artist Services.

The original music from off-Broadway's THE WOODSMAN - The Tragic Story of The Tin Man is available in a solo recording, composed and performed by violinist Edward W. Hardy. The album is produced by Jim McElwaine, and recorded and mixed by Jonathan Jetter at Right Angle Recording, New York, NY.
