The Staten Island Urban Center presents Music On The Porch featuring DJs from  Staten Island's thriving performing art scene as part of The Trust for Governors Island THIRD Saturdays, a Gov­er­nors Island Arts ini­tia­tive cel­e­brat­ing the Orga­ni­za­tions in Res­i­dence pro­gram. 

The Staten Island Urban Center hosts a free “Island Hopping Music Series” which spotlights musicians from Staten Island's thriving art scene Sunday, August 6 and 20  from 2 p.m - 3 p.m. as part of their  Staten Island Urban Center Governors Island Arts' Organizations in Residence happening which presents free exhibits and activities in the historic houses in Nolan Park and Colonels Row on Governors Island.

The Staten Island Urban Center hosts “We are a Waterfront: From  One Island to Another-Staten Island to Governors Island”  and celebrates with live music, performance, storytelling and participatory art highlighting both island’s clean waterways and ferries that give the public access to waterfronts.

When the weather gets colder that means one thing for Mercer County Community College (MCCC) Performing Arts students: Winter Concerts! The college's Academic Theatre and Dance Company will present a?oeThe Happenings of Dance,a?? a free student winter dance concert, on Thursday, Nov. 21 and Friday, Nov. 22 at 7:30 pm in the Studio Theatre, adjacent to Kelsey Theatre on MCCC's West Windsor Campus.

Conversations in Bed at Powerstories Theatre was like taking a tape recorder to the audience, me included and writing down the serious, heartfelt and other times furious and ridiculous conversations we've had with our significant others before putting our heads on the pillow. Oohs, ahhs, and groans from the audience – proving just how relatable the mingled storylines were – stayed as a backdrop throughout the run of the 90-minute show.

The Mercer Dance Ensemble (MDE) is moving in exciting new directions in a fully original, spell-binding concert, "The New Edge of Dance." Performances take place at Mercer County Community College's (MCCC's) Kelsey Theatre on Saturday, May 11 at 8 p.m., and Sunday, May 12 at 2 p.m.

Artistry and storytelling through dance is in store at Mercer County Community College's (MCCC's) Kelsey Theatre as the Mercer Dance Ensemble (MDE) performs "Escapades" for two shows only: Saturday, May 5 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, May 6 at 2 p.m.

Creative exploration and joyful energy have been the hallmarks of the Dance Program at Mercer County Community College (MCCC) this year. With new artistic direction and three new instructors, MCCC's current students, Dance alumni and faculty are eager to bring their work to the stage. The Mercer Dance Ensemble (MDE) presents 'Roots to Wings: MDE in Concert' on Saturday, May 6 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, May 7 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West Windsor Campus at 1200 Old Trenton Road.

On April 14, 2008 GAYFEST NYC hosted a major fundraising event as a kick-off for this year's Festival and a benefit for the Harvey Milk High School scholarship fund.
