Sundance Institute's 2019 Theatre Lab convenes Monday, July 8; the Institute announced this year's participating acting company and creative advisors today.

Following its Tony-nominated hit Broadway run at Studio 54 seen by tens of thousands, Tony Award winner John Leguizamo's one-man play LATIN HISTORY FOR MORONS will launch its North American tour at the world famous Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York on June 20-21, 2019. The critically acclaimed production will continue to more than a dozen cities across North America including stops in Dallas, Durham, Hartford, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New Brunswick, Philadelphia, San Antonio and Washington, DC among others. After the performance of Hadestown last night, June 11, the show's cast and creative team hosted a special curtain call where they raised a glass and celebrated their eight Tony wins!

This is the moment! The American Theatre Wing's 73rd Annual Tony Awards, hosted by James Corden, air live from Radio City Music Hall on the CBS Television Network tonight, honoring theatre professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway.

Heidi Schreck's Tony Award nominated play and Pulitzer Prize finalist What the Constitution Means to Me, directed by Oliver Butler, will embark on a national tour in January 2020, beginning at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles and playing 40 weeks in 22 cities including Charlotte, Hartford, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, with more to be announced. All venues, dates, and casting for the national tour will be announced at a later date.

The cast of Hadestown made an appearance on CBS This Morning, as part of their Saturday Sessions series. Cast members took the stage to perform 'Wait For Me' and 'When the Chips Are Down.'

Rachel Hauck has won the 2019 Tony Award for Best Scenic Design of a Musical for HADESTOWN.

The 10th Annual Lilly Awards, honoring women in the American theatre, took place on Sunday, May 19th, 2019, at the Minetta Lane Theatre. The event was hosted by Obie and Drama Desk winner, Mia Barron, and star of Broadway's Come From Away, Jenn Colella.
