The 24 Hour Plays has announced a special Cincinnati edition round of The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues, which they will host in partnership with the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, and featuring brand-new monologues written, rehearsed and recorded in 24 hours by 12 actors and playwrights.

 Long-running theater podcast and public radio program Playing on Air announces its new fall season of short audio plays, launching this Sunday, October 18. Last night, The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues celebrated its landmark tenth edition. In the biggest round yet, 28 actors were paired with the industry's top writers, who created new pieces just for them in only 24 hours. From 6 PM on, the new monologues were published, one every 15 minutes.

Studio will award grants to 10 artists-playwrights, directors, and multidisciplinary creators-investing in its future while supporting theatre-makers and expanding the idea of what it means to be a generative artist. For the first time, Studio R&D commissions are being awarded to support the creation of audio plays, as Studio explores alternate modes of theatrical storytelling in response to the present moment.
