Emmy nominee and two-time Oscar nominee Bruce Dern (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, The Mustang) is joining the cast of AT&T AUDIENCE Network's critically acclaimed drama series Mr. Mercedes, as a guest star. Dern will play John Rothstein, a famous and reclusive writer living on the fringes of Bridgton, Ohio.

The Cinema Audio Society Award for Outstanding Sound Mixing Motion Picture - Live Action was presented to the sound mixing team from “Bohemian Rhapsody” of John Casali, Paul Massey, Tim Cavagin, Niv Adiri, CAS, Mike Tehrani, Glen Gathard, Jemma Riley Tolch.

Mildred's Umbrella Theater Company (MU) is continuing its 2018-19 season with Cherise Castro Smith's THE HUNCHBACK OF SEVILLE, playing March 28- April 6, 2019. Because Mildred's Umbrella lost its home at Chelsea Market Theatre recently, the Alley Theatre has generously allowed the production to be presented in their Neuhaus Theatre as a special one-time event.

While currently filming a recurring role in the upcoming Hulu series Shrill, opposite Aidy Bryant, she decided it was time to get back on the stage and grab the spotlight again now that her daughter has moved out as a college freshman. In her new solo show, JULIA SWEENEY: OLDER & WIDER, she offers hilarious takes on parenting, religion, cancer, feminism and even her iconic SNL characters' place in today's modern landscape. And though she shared this was the first time she performed using a handheld microphone in front of an audience, Sweeney appeared to be totally at ease and enjoying the accolades from her many fans in attendance on opening night.

Love Actually Live, a multimedia-concert celebration of the soundtrack to one of the most beloved holiday movies of all time from the team behind Los Angeles' award-winning For The Record series, is featured this holiday season at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts from Tuesday, December 4, through Monday, December 31, 2018. The historic Drexel Theatre today announced the lineup for its 2019 America's Greatest Films series, made possible through a generous gift from PNC Bank. Launched in 2017 as a thank you to the community, the series offers free screenings of some of the nation's most beloved classic films on the first Tuesday of each month with a pre-screening introduction and post-screening Q&A.

The American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) has chosen two honorees to be feted for their body of work at the 33rd ASC Awards for Outstanding Achievement. Robert Richardson, ASC will receive the ASC Lifetime Achievement Award, and Jeff Jur, ASC will be bestowed the org's Career Achievement in Television Award. The presentations will be made at the annual ASC Awards gala on February 9, 2019, at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland. The event will also pay tribute to the society's centennial in 2019.

The 30th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSIFF) will present Alfonso Cuarón with the Sonny Bono Visionary Award at its annual Film Awards Gala for Roma. The Film Awards Gala, hosted by Mary Hart and Entertainment Tonight and presented by American Express, will be held on Thursday, January 3 at the Palm Springs Convention Center. The Festival runs January 3-14.
