New York audiences will be transported back to 1926 to experience a world of mysterious speakeasies, backstage intrigue, and hotel room affairs as they unravel the untimely death of legendary illusionist Harry Houdini in The Girl Who Handcuffed Harry Houdini, the new immersive theatrical production from playwright and director Cynthia von Buhler and her production company, Speakeasy Dollhouse.
Postmodern Jukebox (PMJ), the show known for bringing new songs back into the old stream and classic sounds back into the mainstream, will perform for eight evenings at the Terry Fator Theatre in November. Boston born and raised Latina singer Annie Goodchild, has just announced the new single 'Ether' to be released on the 24th August from her upcoming cinematic American roots EP 'Meditative Mouthfuls' to be released via Radicalis on the 28 September. The extremely versatile musician has fronted alternative pop band Melou for the past four years, touring Europe extensively and playing both major and independent festivals. Just last year the singer opened for R&B queen Alicia Keys at the highly exclusive Baloise Session festival and also played at the acclaimed Zermatt Unplugged and Montreux Jazz Festival.

Spectrum, Bean's fourth studio album was released on February 9, is a fresh new take on the classic tradition of big band with arrangements by Grammy award-nominated arranger Alan Ferber. This concert will feature Bean along with an 18 piece big band performing a carefully-selected collection of standards, classics and modern favorites, while still including a few Bean-penned gems. Bean made her Broadway debut in the original cast of Hairspray before taking over for Idina Menzel as Elphaba in Wicked and has performed all over the world with artists such as Ariana Grande, Brian McKnight, Postmodern Jukebox (PMJ), David Foster and Michael Jackson.
Jump For Joy! The Off-Broadway cast recording of the New York premiere production of the new musical Unexpected Joy, with book and lyrics by Bill Russell (Side Show) and music by Janet Hood (Elegies for Angels, Punks, and Raging Queens with Bill Russell), will be recorded and released by JAY Records. Produced by John Yap, the recording will feature the original cast of The York Theatre Company production who will gather at Sear Sound Studios (353 West 48th Street) on Monday, May 14, 2018 to lay down the tracks for the recording.
