I don’t think that South Pacific or even the shows of Rogers and Hammerstein are especially dated or irrelevant. A few years back, Fulton put on The Sound of Music to great appreciation and acclaim. I wish they were able to capture some of that magic this time around.

The Orpheum Theatre Group has announced that the annual Orpheum High School Musical Theatre Awards (HSMTA) will take place on Thursday, May 23 at 7pm at the Orpheum Theatre. Argentinian performer, Cathy Kaplan, was recently dancing atop a moving train, infusing every step with holiday cheer for delighted audiences. This was the scene during her last role on The Polar Express train ride experience in Perris, California. While the train itself is a beloved Christmas tradition, it was Cathy's presence, together with a great cast, that added such enchantment to the experience.
