ABC has announced that they have picked up the rights to Jason Mott's soon-to-be published novel THE RETURNED, with Brad Pitt's Plan B and Brillstein Entertainment.

Angelinos looking for a unique and satisfying "family-friendly-experience" in American music, featuring some of the best talent in the Los Angeles musical theatre world, are in for a real treat! This revised production of YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN will open at Theatre Banshee, Burbank, on January 18th thru February 10th, 2013. Produced by John Peters for J & J Productions, this warmhearted musical comedy based on the "Peanuts" comic strip, welcomes Television, Movie, Broadway Musical Theatre, & Award-Winning Stars: Carla Jimenez, Eymard Cabling, Colette Peters, Chris Duir, Chaz Feuerstine, Frankie Marrone, James Oronoz, Adam Trent, & Jennifer Strattan.

Variety reports that a new hourlong drama, based on the Jake Halpern essay 'Pay Up', is currently being developed for HBO through Brad Pitt's Plan B Entertainment. The project, to be titled PAPER, will be written by Wells Tower.

Now, a cable network insider tells us exclusively that the film will instead be an HBO television production, with a budget in the neighborhood of $15 million dollars. There is no word yet on a timeline for the project, or if the announced starry cast are staying aboard the project.
