Molly Pope, Randy Harrison, et al. Star in OUR HIT PARADE at Joe's Pub, 3/30

Joe's Pub presents OUR HIT PARADE on Wednesday, March 30 at 9:30 PM, featuring Randy Harrison, John Roberts, Molly Pope, Erin Markey, Eye Of The Tiger, Jenn Harris, Billy Eichner & Natalie Joy Johnson. Our Hit Parade is a live top-ten countdown show created by Tony nominee and Obie winner Kenny Mellman (Kiki & Herb), carnal chanteuse Bridget Everett (At Least It's Pink at Ars Nova), pop song opera impresario Neal Medlyn (Neal Medlyn's Unpronounceable Symbol at P.S. 122), producer and MTV cameraman Brendan Kennedy, and writers Ada Calhoun and Peter Schjeldahl.

Casting Complete for Musical Theatre West's SUMMER OF LOVE

Musical Theatre West is proud to announce the world premiere of Roger Bean's groovy new musical SUMMER OF LOVE at the beautiful 1,070-seat Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach. SUMMER OF LOVE previews April 1 and runs April 2 through April 17, 2011.

Larsen & Elliott, Lechner & Zam et al. Named 2011 Larson Grant Recipients

The American Theatre Wing announced today that the recipients of the 2011 Jonathan Larson® Grants are Danny Larsen (Composer/Co-Lyricist) & Michelle Elliott (Bookwriter/Co-Lyricist), Cloaked; Marisa Michelson (Composer) & Joshua H. Cohen (Bookwriter/Lyricist), Tamar and the River; and Andy Monroe (Composer), Jack Lechner (Lyricist) & Michael Zam (Bookwriter), The Kid. The prestigious grants, totaling $10,000, will be presented on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at a private event in New York City. The event will feature special performances of the recipients' work.

Plan-B Theatre Company Announces 2010-11 Season

Today, May 4, Plan-B Theatre Company announced its 2010-11 Season. Productions scheduled include SHE WAS MY BROTHER, as well as the World Premieres of MESA VERDE, BORDERLANDS, and AND THE BANNED SLAMMED ON. The 2010-11 season marks the 20th anniversary of the first Plan-B production in 1991. 12 of the past 15 Plan-B productions have enjoyed sold-out runs. Subscriptions are $87 (a savings of 15% off the single ticket price of $20 per play and $40 for AND THE BANNED SLAMMED ON) go on sale May 3, 2010 at planbtheatre.org.

Pitt, Gandolfini, Bardem et al. Headline 'Cogan's Trade' Film

'Cogan's Trade', the film based on the 1974 novel of the same name, has announced some major casting news. According to the LA Times, Brad Pitt will play the title character who is investigating a heist initiated by a hustler (played by Ray Liotta) during a high-stakes poker game. Others who have been announced include Javier Bardem, James Gandolfini, Casey Affleck, and Mark Ruffalo.
