The Lion King officially returned to Broadway last night! Check out all new photos of the cast taking their first bow back since March 2020!

In celebration of their Broadway return, the cast of The Lion King performed this morning on Good Morning America! The cast began the performance from all across New York City-- from the Brooklyn Bridge to the Statue of Liberty-- and came together at the GMA studio in Times Square to a standing ovation.

The circle of life continues on Broadway! Tonight, Tuesday, September 14, Broadway gets its razzle dazzle back when four beloved musicals return to the stage. Tune in to BroadwayWorld for this one short day of non-stop coverage!

The Broadway cast of The Lion King began rehearsals this week for the company’s reopening next month. As previously announced, The Lion King will resume performances on Tuesday, September 14 at the Minskoff Theatre.

Past, present and even future Disney On Broadway AAPI family members united virtually to celebrate AAPI Heritage Month with a special spoken word version of “A Whole New World' from Aladdin.

During Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AAPIHM), Disney on Broadway is putting the spotlight on the Asian American and Pacific Islander cast members of its hit musicals THE LION KING, ALADDIN, and FROZEN.

Equality, inclusion and joy permeated the performances at this year's poignant and record-breaking Red Bucket Follies. The show celebrated six weeks of enthusiastic fundraising by 67 Broadway, Off-Broadway and national touring shows for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

A brilliant cast of dancers from Broadway's biggest hits and some of the most sought-after dance companies will bring to life Pure Motion, an evening of dances by emerging choreographer Ray Mercer. Produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the evening will feature cast members from Broadway's An American in Paris, The Lion King and Wicked as well as past and current dancers from Ailey II, Company XIV, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Nederlands Dans Theater and more.

Just yesterday, Justin Guarini hosted The New York Musical Theatre Festival's Annual Press Conference at Urbo (11 Times Square, New York, NY 10036). As a part of the special presentation, cast members from Acappella, Claudio Quest, Deep Love: A Ghostly Rock Opera, Manuel versus the Statue of Liberty, The Calico Buffalo and Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera performed excerpts from the productions.
