Fun and philanthropy are in the cards when Broadway Bets, Broadway's official poker tournament, shuffles up and deals on Monday, May 13, 2019. The event is produced by and benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

The Actors Fund announced today 'Broadway Brunch with the Stars: An Afternoon of Song and Celebration' will be a benefit for The Actors Fund's Phyllis Newman Women's Health Initiative on Sunday March 31, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in a private Upper West Side home.

In 10th Grade, I was in the chorus of a production of Oklahoma! in the auditorium of my synagogue and it was the best theatrical experience I've ever had. I remember getting home from the closing night cast party and crying myself to sleep. I could cry now putting on the movie or listening to 'The Farmer and the Cowman,' or maybe most of all, if I sing a little bit of the introduction to the title song.

The Early Night Show With Joshua Turchin released the live performance of 'I Won't Grow Up, Or Will I?... a Peter Pan-Inspired Medley', a parody medley arranged, co-written, and performed by Joshua Turchin (A Christmas Story, The Pill, TrevorLive LA) and Ellis Gage (James & the Giant Peach World Premiere). Joshua Turchin also served as the music director and accompanist. The parody is a humorous and touching dialogue delving into the mind of pre-pubescent boy sopranos who fear the inevitable onset of puberty when they must face the reality that they will, in fact, grow up. Tickets are now available to see two of the world's foremost classical music acts, world-renowned ensemble Emerson String Quartet and legendary pianist Andre Watts, as part of the 2019 Hamlen-Palm Series of house concerts. Joshua Turchin will return to The Green Room 42 with his cabaret series, 'The Early Night Show with Joshua Turchin,' on February 10, 2019 at 2pm. Turchin has previously performed two successful shows, 'The Early Night Show at The Green Room' and the 'West End Lounge,' and regularly music directs and accompanies at The Green Room 42's (YOUNG) cabaret series. Special guests from Broadway, television and film will join Turchin on stage. Acclaimed mezzo-soprano Denyce Graves will launch the 2019 Hamlen-Palm Series with an exclusive house concert on Thursday, January 31, 2019. The concerts are produced by and benefit Classical Action, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Equality, inclusion and joy permeated the performances at this year's poignant and record-breaking Red Bucket Follies. The show celebrated six weeks of enthusiastic fundraising by 67 Broadway, Off-Broadway and national touring shows for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

The Acting Company (Ian Belknap, Artistic Director; Elisa Spencer-Kaplan, Executive Director) honored director and artistic leader Bill Rauch and the married civic leaders Barbaralee Diamonstein-Spielvogel and Ambassador Carl Spielvogel- individuals whose exemplary work aligns with the artistic and educational ideals of the storied repertory company that produces nationally recognized theater productions and arts education programs-at the Company's 2018 Fall Gala, on November 12. Held at the historic Metropolitan Club (One East 60th Street), the event raised nearly $400,000 and brought together awards, live entertainment, silent and live auctions, dinner, and cocktails in celebration of theater and its contribution to American society. Tony Award-winner and The Acting Company alumna Harriet Harris hosted, with performances by Joanna A. Jones (Hamilton) and Tatiana Wechsler, featuring Russ Kaplan's Broadway Jazz. 

The newly named Hamlen-Palm Series will welcome three legendary performances in one intimate space: mezzo-soprano Denyce Graves, the Emerson String Quartet and pianist Andre Watts. The house concerts are produced by and benefit Classical Action, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
