Every year Infinithéâtre proudly presents a selection of its newest discoveries in PIPELINE, an annual series of free public play readings where the audience takes centre stage, offering valuable feedback that furthers script development and helps choose future seasons. Guy Sprung, Infinithéâtre's artistic director, invites the public to be part of the excitement and share their views from Thursday, December 5 to Saturday, December 7 at the Rialto Studio and Sunday, December 8 at KIN Gallery.
Young People's Theatre Presents World Premiere Of A MILLION BILLION PIECES

Young People's Theatre (YPT) is excited to present the world premiere of A Million Billion Pieces - a moving story of love directed by one of Canada's most celebrated actors and directors, Philip Akin (Artistic Director, Obsidian Theatre). In this bold new production, two teens are isolated by a rare disease that could prove deadly if they make contact. Craving connection, they progress from flirty DMs to a precarious encounter, each with their own reason to test what it is to live a?' and love a?' like other people. It will be presented in the Studio from November 25 to December 13, 2019, for ages 13 and up.

Young People's Theatre is thrilled to showcase world-renowned artists throughout its 2019.20 Season, including Canada's internationally-acclaimed Kaha:wi Dance Theatre, New York's Arktype, the creative team of Where the Wild Things Are, as well as direction by Sheila McCarthy, Philip Akin, Craig Francis and Rick Miller. Year-long celebrations will mark the 50th Anniversary of YPT's Drama School, whose alumni include Drake, Kiefer Sutherland and Giacomo Gianniotti.

At a press conference held May 28 in the Davies Takacs Lobby of the Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre, the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) announced 282 nominations for the 40th Anniversary Dora Mavor Moore Awards, which recognize excellence in professional theatre, dance and opera in Toronto. On Tuesday, June 25 at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts, 49 Dora Mavor Moore Awards, the Silver Ticket Award and the Jon Kaplan Audience Choice Award will be presented.

The Segal Centre, in association with Black Theatre Workshop, is proud to present the acclaimed production of Master Harold and the Boys by the Shaw Festival in association with Obsidian Theatre. One of Athol Fugard's most powerful plays, this Dora Award-winning production will be on the Segal stage from January 21 to February 11, 2018. Fueled by the South African playwright's recollections of his youth, this incendiary play lights a fuse that ultimately explodes the subtle corruption of living in an environment where systemic racism is condoned or even encouraged; addressing racial injustice that lingers far beyond its apartheid era setting.
