Tina Turner, the 'Queen of Rock'n Roll' has died peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness in her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland.  With her, the world loses a music legend and a role model.

The producers of TINA – THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL have announced casting for the award-winning smash hit musical which premieres at Theatre Royal Sydney this May. 

Devon Church has shared a new single, “Flash Of Lightning In A Clear Blue Sky,” off his new Strange Strangers. In stark contrast to the earthy folk of lead single “Ephemera”, this latest offering features arpeggiated synthesizers set against acoustic strums - a widescreen, Lynchian take on baroque pop that recalls Church’s endeavor Exitmusic.

Over the past several years, jukebox musicals have taken the “Great White Way...” by storm. From shows such as “Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations,” “Jagged Little Pill,” “Moulin Rouge,” “Girl from the North Country,” and more recently “& Juliet,” “MJ the Musical,” all tell a story surrounded by a book of songs exploring the discography/career of musicians such as Alanis Morissette, The Temptations, Michael Jackson, and Bob Dylan to name a few.

Captured on stage at Hop Singh’s club in southern California, this eleven-song set includes her signature hits recorded for Phil Spector — “He’s a Rebel,” “Da Doo Ron Ron,” “(Today I Met) The Boy I’m Gonna Marry” — alongside previously unreleased covers of Bruce Springsteen’s “Hungry Heart” and the Beatles’ “We Can Work It Out.”
