BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present the return of Karen Mason – honoring her three-decade collaboration with music director Christopher Denny in the new show“30… And Counting” – on Monday, August 8 at 7:00 PM.

KAREN MASON opens THE BRADSTAN CABARET FEST!  On MAY 29, 2022 at 8 PM for one night only, with her show KANDER & EBB…AND ALL THAT JAZZ! Karen Mason shares her love of songwriters John Kander and Fred Ebb in her new show, Kander & Ebb…And All That Jazz!  As one of the original stars of the off-Broadway production of And The World Goes ‘Round, Mason has a personal connection to these legends and their music. A night of unforgettable stories, laughter, and music, Including “Ring Them Bells,”  “My Coloring Book,” and “Go Back Home.”  This new show highlights Mason’s vocal prowess, charisma, and overall versatility. Her storytelling is as stellar as her vocals.

The Off-Broadway production of Romeo & Bernadette: A Musical Tale of Verona and Brooklyn, with book and lyrics by Mark Saltzman, music adapted from classic Italian melodies, directed and choreographed by Justin Ross Cohen, and starring the original cast,  officially opened on Monday, May 16 at Theater 555 (555 West 42nd Street - between 10th and 11th Avenues).

It's today! Award-winning vocalist Ann Kittredge's debut recording reIMAGINE, a specially curated collection of songs uniquely re-imagined and produced by award-winning songwriter and record producer Paul Rolnick, is available on all digital platforms as of today, May 16, 2022.

In celebration of her soon to be released album Ann Kittredge:reIMAGINE(Jazzheads, Inc./King Kozmo Music), a specially curated collection of songs uniquely re-imagined, Ms. Kittredge, will appear at The Laurie Beechman Theatre (407 West 42nd Street – between 9th & 10th Avenues) on Thursday, May 26th at 7pm.

The thirty-sixth annual MAC Awards were presented on Tuesday night in a ceremony that was widely remarked upon for the length of its duration.

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present Tony Award-winner Debbie Gravitte in a special residency “Debbie Plus One” starting Monday, April 11 at 7:00 PM. Gravitte has been in theater long enough to have made some very special friends, and she welcomes Stephen Schwartz (April 11), Marc Shaiman (May 9), and Harvey Fierstein (September 12).

The Manhattan Association of Cabarets has announced the 2022 MAC Award nominees. The nominees were determined by votes cast by the active MAC membership, except for the song and recording categories, which were determined by special committees.

BIRDLAND will present drag legend Coco Peru in the new show “Bitter Bothered & Beyond!” for two special performances. The first show at Birdland Jazz Club on Monday, March 21 at 7:00 PM quickly sold out, so an encore performance has been added for Tuesday, March 22 at 8:30 PM downstairs at the Birdland Theater.
