Cast Announced For 50th Anniversary Tour Of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR

Work Light Productions announced casting today for the 50th Anniversary Tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's iconic musical, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. Winner of the 2017 Olivier Award® for Best Musical Revival, the North American presentation of the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre's production will tech in Syracuse, NY. The tour will officially launch at Austin's Bass Concert Hall on October 8th through the 13th before visiting over 30 cities including Los Angeles, Denver, Nashville, Dallas and Chicago.

SIREN CALL Debuts at The Blank Theatre

What is identity in a world where myths are stronger than we dare think? Siren Call is an original new play written by actress, writer, director Jola Cora, a Swiss Italian and Polish citizen, who moved to Los Angeles almost five years ago. Some parts of the play are directly inspired by what Jola witnessed or experienced in Los Angeles.

Sherilyn Fenn To Star As A Silent Film Legend Alla Nazimova In Rudolph Biopic SILENT LIFE

Golden Globe and Emmy nominated actress Sherilyn Fenn (Twin Peaks, Wild at Heart) will star as a silent film star and producer Alla Nazimova in director Vladislav Kozlov's Rudolph Valentino fantasy biopic Silent Life. Paul Rodriguez and Dalton Cyr join the cast as an older gigolo (Rodriguez) who teaches young Italian immigrant Rodolfo Guglielmi (Cyr) how to seduce women. Also joining the cast are Paul Louis Harrell as Norman Kerry (Valentino's real-life friend), and Ksenia Jarova, who will star as Natacha Rambova (the true love of Rudolph Valentino).  

Only Five More Performances To See AVENUE Q At The Kravis Center's Rinker Playhouse

Marcie Gorman, Executive Producer & Artistic Director for MNM Theatre Company, today reminded lovers of musical theatre, adult comedy and snarky puppets that there are only five more performances to see Avenue Q, which runs through this Sunday, June 10, at the Kravis Center's Rinker Playhouse. Last week, the delightful show received "Recommended" status for the Carbonell Awards, South Florida's most prestigious award for professional theater. This prestigious status means that the show will be seen by Carbonell judges and is eligible for nominations.

The Green Room 42 presents FAR FROM CANTERBURY: In Concert today, October 24, 2017, at 8:00 pm. Winner of 'Outstanding Overall Musical' at the 2015 New York Fringe Festival, FAR FROM CANTERBURY tells a reimagined version of 'The Wife of Bath's Tale' from Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales, and features book, music and lyrics by Danny K Bernstein (2017 Jonathan Larson Award Finalist), direction by Charlie Johnson (Beatsville, CHARLIE! Anything But Basic), and music direction by Jeff Cox. This new expanded story takes place once upon a time, in a land where fairy tales are considered current events, where we follow a shy young knight who dreams of one day having a fairy tale of his own. However, his world is shaken when he's suddenly accused of committing a violent crime against a princess from a neighboring kingdom. This concert presentation focuses on the first half of the story.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, the brilliant Tony Award-winning musical thriller by Stephen Sondheim (music and lyrics) and Hugh Wheeler (book), opens at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre on July 14, following a specially priced preview on July 13. This deliciously macabre and witty tale of a throat-slitting barber and his enterprising accomplice, Mrs. Lovett, who grinds his victims into meat pies, runs through August 6. Clive Cholerton directs and Emmanuel Schvartzman, making his PBD debut, is the musical director.
