A.C.T.'s Master Of Fine Arts Program Announces 2020-21 Season

Today, American Conservatory Theater announced the lineup that will make up the 2020-21 season for the acclaimed Master of Fine Arts (MFA) program. All MFA productions in 2020 will be performed virtually and are included as part of A.C.T.'s newly-announced A.C.T. Anywhere season pass which gives patrons discounted access to all InterACT at Home programming, including virtual live-streamed (fixed viewing dates), on-demand (flexible viewing dates) streaming theater, and more.

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company Announces Its 2020-2021 Season plus Introducing Woolly on Demand and The Golden Ticket

With transparency and cautious optimism as guiding pillars, Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company is pleased to announce its 2020-2021 season. Season 41 features the return of a postponed production, new partnerships, a digital season, and an exciting evolution of Woollya??s subscription plan. Anticipated to take place between Fall 2020 and Summer 2021, Woollya??s timeline is designed to be flexible given the rolling nature of the re-opening process. A.C.T Launches THIS IS JUST INTERMISSION—INTERACT AT HOME

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) announced This Is Just Intermission-InterACT at Home, an online initiative that aims to engage, enrich, and entertain patrons through a series of interactive events, activities, and innovative programming from the comfort and safety of their homes.

A.C.T. Announces Spring Forward Fundraising Event

In response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) announced today that it will host Spring Forward, a one-night-only virtual fundraising event, on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at 6 p.m. Proceeds from the event will support A.C.T.'s diverse and far-reaching artistic, artist-training, and education and community programs, reaching almost 200,000 Bay Areaa?"based recipients each year. In addition, a portion of the proceeds will support Theatre Bay Area's Performing Arts Worker Relief Fund, a resource for Bay Area performing arts workers who are facing a loss of income due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.

Clubbed Thumb Postpones 25th Annual Summerworks

Tony Award-nominated and five-time Obie Award-winning theater company Clubbed Thumb (Maria Striar, Producing Artistic Director; Michael Bulger, Associate Artistic Director; Quinn Metal Corbin, Advancement Director) will postpone the 25th edition of SUMMERWORKS, its annual festival of new plays.

Clubbed Thumb has announced the complete line-up for the 25th annual SUMMERWORKS, its festival of new plays. SUMMERWORKS will run May 15 - July 1, 2020 at The Wild Project (195 E. 3rd Street) in Manhattan and will feature productions of three new plays: SPINDLE SHUTTLE NEEDLE by Gab Reisman and directed by Tamilla Woodard; BODIES THEY RITUAL by Angela Hanks and directed by Knud Adams; and THE WOMAN'S PARTY by Rinne Groff and directed by Tara Ahmadinijad.

Full Cast of TONI STONE by Lydia R. Diamond Announced at Arena Stage

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater has announced the company for Toni Stone, written by Arena alumna resident playwright Lydia R. Diamond. Set in the 1950s, Toni Stone was the first woman to play baseball in the Negro Leagues, also making her the first woman to play professionally in a men's league. Against all odds, Stone blazed a path in the male-dominated sports world, shattering expectations and creating her own set of rules.
