Casting is confirmed and tickets are now on sale for the world premiere Signature Theatre (Paige Evans, Artistic Director; Erika Mallin, Executive Director; James Houghton, Founder) production of Wakey, Wakey, written and directed by Lucille Lortel and Obie Award-winner Will Eno. Eno is a Residency Five playwright at Signature.

Just last night, Sarah Ruhl was honored with the 2016 Steinberg Distinguished Playwright Award at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater. The evening featured performances of Ruhl's work by Blair Brown, Kathleen Chalfant, Maria Dizzia, Jessica Hecht, Celia Keenan-Bolger, Polly Noonan and Joseph J. Parks. Due to popular demand, the Signature Theatre production of The Death of the Last Black Man in the Whole Entire World AKA the Negro Book of the Dead, by Pulitzer Prize-winner Suzan-Lori Parks and directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz, has been extended an additional week. The production will now run through December 18, 2016 at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

SOULPEPPER - Toronto's largest and most celebrated theatre company, marking its 20th anniversary season as the most populous city in Canada's leading producer of revivals and new works - will make its U.S. debut next summer during a 4-week engagement Off-Broadway at The Pershing Square Signature Center, 480 W 42nd St, in New York City, it has been announced by Albert Schultz, SOULPEPPER'S Founding Artistic Director, and Leslie Lester, Executive Director. This festival of plays and musical performances - entitled SOULPEPPER ON 42ND ST.: CANADA CROSSES THE BORDER- will be presented June 29 through July 29, 2017.
