Pegasus Opera Company Present the UK Premiere of SHAW GOES WILDE

Following last year's successful run of Ruth and The Dark Lady of the Sonnet, Pegasus Opera Company presents another outstanding opera double bill titled Shaw Goes Wilde. The productions are based on Oscar Wilde's The Nightingale and The Rose and George Bernard Shaw's The Music Cure. The two one act shows will be performed on Friday 12, Saturday 13 at 7.30pm and Sunday 14 April at 2.30pm at the new Susie Sainsbury Theatre, Royal Academy of Music, London, NW1 5HT.

Bart DeLorenzo Directs West Coast Premiere of Nicky Silver's TOO MUCH SUN

Just when you think you have them all figured out." Bart DeLorenzo directs the West Coast premiere of the acclaimed off-Broadway hit Too Much Sun by Nicky Silver (Broadway's The Lyons), presented by Indie Chi Productions in a guest production at the Odyssey Theatre. Previews take place on Feb. 28 and March 1, with opening night set for March 2 and performances continuing through April 21.

Set in modern day New York City, the story follows a beautiful young Dorian Gray who stumbles into an accidental photo opportunity and shoots to heights of social media fame. Disturbed that her physical beauty will deteriorate with age, Dorian wishes for eternal youth. Her wish is granted, and the photo rather than the woman degrades as she pursues a life of corruption and debauchery, reminding her that though her looks are unscathed, her soul is not. Can she still find salvation? Or is her soul trapped in the photograph?

New York Classical Theatre (Stephen Burdman, Artistic Director) kicks off its 20th anniversary season with a gender-flipping production of Oscar Wilde's comic masterpiece The Importance of Being Earnest, with the entire cast swapping roles at every other performance. The production, directed by Stephen Burdman, also marks the debut of NY Classical's annual indoor performance, extending its season year-round and continuing its all-free performance policy. Full casting has been announced for Trevor Nunn's world premiere production of Harley Ganville-Barker's Agnes Colander, which will receive its first London staging at Jermyn Street Theatre this February. The acclaimed Naomi Frederick will revive her performance of Agnes Colander.
