Enjoy a Wilde Time at The Theatre: ActorsNET Presents Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest

Experience Theatre Project, Beaverton's only professional immersive theater company, is proud to announce a Pacific Northwest premiere of The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, at the Beaverton Masonic Lodge in old downtown Beaverton over four weekends in January and February, 2019. The show has been adapted for an immersive live theater experience by ETP's founder and artistic director, Alisa Stewart. The Picture of Dorian Gray is generously sponsored by Ronni Lacroute and the Regional Arts and Culture Coalition.

On Friday, January 18th, the immersive queer nightclub musical OSCAR at the Crown will open at 3 Dollar Bill, presented by The Neon Coven. Celebrating the rise and fall of one of history's most flamboyant characters, OSCAR at the Crown brings the audience to a secret bunker far in the fascist future, comprised of sequins, reality television, and the complete works of Oscar Wilde: not much else has survived. Secret Identity a brand new play by playwright Chris Weikel will debut it's World Premiere at The Flea Theatre on January 9th. The story tackles high school bullying in a witty and provocative way when the protagonist escapes into his comic book world of Super Heroes before learning that being authentic is key to acceptance. Secret Identity bows in previews on January 9th with Opening Night on January 12th. Promethean's critically-acclaimed production of Moises Kaufman's historical drama GROSS INDECENCY: THE THREE TRIALS OF OSCAR WILDE, which enjoyed a two-week run in December 2016, will be remounted from February 15 through March 24, 2019 at Strawdog Theatre, 1809 W. Berenice. GROSS INDECENCY, which Promethean Artistic Director Brian Pastor will again direct, will be performed with cross-gender casting in some roles, as it was in the company's earlier production. Promethean Ensemble Member Jamie Bragg will reprise her leading role as Oscar Wilde.

Each episode showcases a variety of theatre artists from Broadway to Off-Off Broadway as well as National and International theatre artists. Broadway playwright and director Moises Kaufman (Torch Song, The Laramie Project, Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde, I am My Own Wife), founder of Tectonic Theater Project, will lead a "theater and whiskey" trip to the famed Edinburgh Festivals and the Scottish Highlands, from August 3 through 11, 2019.
