Experience Theatre Project, Beaverton's only professional immersive theater company, is proud to announce a Pacific Northwest premiere of The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, at the Beaverton Masonic Lodge in old downtown Beaverton over four weekends in January and February, 2019. The show has been adapted for an immersive live theater experience by ETP's founder and artistic director, Alisa Stewart.

About the story: A radiantly handsome, impressionable, and wealthy young man is painted by a local London artist. A Faustian pledge to the devil to stay always as young as his portrait begins his dark pursuit of personal pleasure above all else. Led by the charming talk and famous wit of Lord Henry Wotton, Dorian becomes obsessed with beauty, youth, and the importance of immediacy. And as the rest of the world ages, Dorian stays youthful. His portrait, covered in secret in his dark attic, shows his true age, and the multitude of his terrible transgressions, including cold-blooded murder.

This immersive production will be presented in promenade fashion, where the audience moves from scene to scene, following the actors. Seating will be available for those who are not able to stand for long periods of time.

Stewart earned critical acclaim for her immersive production of Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap in January, 2018. The theater converted a retail store front at the Cady Building at the corner of SW Farmington and SW Watson into a 1951 London guest house, where audience members sat only inches from the actors, and the murder. The show sold out its original run, prompting a two week extension to accommodate demand.

The Picture of Dorian Gray stars Katherine Grant-Suttie as Dorian Gray, Walter Petryk as Lord Henry Wotton, Amber Bogdewicz as Basil Hallward, and Leslie Spitznagel as Sibyl. Also featuring Ryan Pfeiffer, Emma Whiteside, Elizabeth Garrett, and Jeremy Gardels, Scenic Design provided by Tyler Buswell, Costume Designs by Alana Wight-Yedinak, Lighting Design by Dug Martell, Make-up and Hair Design by Jessa Lowe, and Sound Design by Alisa Stewart. Stage Manager is Annie Boswell.

Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays, January 19-February 10, 2019. There is a limited capacity of only 50 people per night. This is a promenade show, so audiences will be asked to move throughout the space during the performance. VIP Experience and date night packages available, while quantities last. Tickets are available online at www.experiencetheatreproject.org or by calling the box office at 844-ETP-SHOW (844-387-7469).
