The current production of The Last Five Years now playing at Southwark Playhouse until 14 November confirms it has been filmed and will be released worldwide over 5 days via new platform stream.theatre.

Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years has a brilliantly problematic narrative - two souls taking us on a journey of their relationship, but one in chronological order (Jamie), and one in reverse (Cathy). Jonathan O'Boyle's version takes it to the upper echelons of directorial genius by creating an actor-muso production where the actors are entwined at all times through the music itself - and now, I can't imagine consuming this musical in any other way.

The Stagea??has announced the 2020 winners ofa??The Stagea??Debut Awards, in association witha??Access Entertainment. The awards were presented as a virtual ceremony on Sunday, September 27, filmed at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, in the heart of London's West End.   

With over two thirds of tickets sold for the originally announced dates, audiences now have the chance to buy a new batch of tickets for The Last Five Years as new performance dates are added to accommodate demand for booking. The show will be extending for a further two weeks, through to 14 November 2020.

Molly Lynch and Oli Higginson will return to their roles of Cathy and Jamie in The Last Five Years at Southwark Playhouse this October. They will be in the same 'support bubble' which means that the show will not operate under social distancing.
