Producers announced today the first North American tour and full casting of the Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of THE COLOR PURPLE. Performances will begin October 7, 2017 in Schenectady, New York at Proctors and the tour will have its official opening October 17, 2017 in Baltimore, Maryland at The Hippodrome Theatre. Yesterday, high school theatre students and instructors across metropolitan Kansas City and in neighboring communities received the good news that they had received nominations for the 15th Anniversary Blue Star Awards from Starlight Theatre. Starlight leaders, staff and board members personally delivered 132 nominations to 42 area high schools. On Thursday night, May 25, winners of the 2017 Blue Star Awards will receive their honors in a public ceremony on Starlight Theatre's Cohen Community Stage.

Based on the Academy Award winning film, starring Patrick Swayze, Whoopi Goldberg and Demi Moore, GHOST the Musical makes its regional premiere at North Raleigh Arts and Creative Theatre this spring.

Taking its inspiration from the classic movie, this innovative reimagining will feature an expanded book, new music and original staging.

Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), North Fulton's only professional theatre company, opens its 24th Season with the Southeastern premiere of Ghost The Musical at the Theatre's home in the Roswell Cultural Arts Center. Performances have limited run dates for three weeks only from September 15th  through October 2nd,  2016, Wednesdays through Sundays.  GET's Co-founder and Artistic Director Robert Farley will direct the production. Sponsor for this blockbuster show is longtime GET corporate partner, Macy's.

Actor Andy Moss is best known for his roles on TV dramas like Hollyoaks, Doctors and Cutting It, but he's currently taking on a very different challenge: the UK tour of Ghost the Musical, performing alongside Sarah Harding.
