Today I was invited to a special press day at China Theatre when they announced the cast to Ghost the Musical. The show was hosted by Kattis Ahlstrom, a well know Swedish TV host. For some time we been discussing who we wanted to be in the cast and I was so happy to hear that it was my dream team for the roles of Sam and Carl. And the rest of the cast is absolutely fantastic as well.
BWW Review: GHOST at Theater Des Westens, Berlin - GHOST scares up a star-making performance from former German 'Idol' Alexander Klaws
by Mark Janicello
- Mar 1, 2018
GHOST in Berlin's historic Theater des Westens, has almost every element needed to be a great evening of musical theater. The only thing missing in this musical is the music.
The set, video and lighting design (Hans Kudlich and Michael Grundner, respectively) are nothing short of spectacular. The „ghostly" stage effects (designed by Nils Bennett) are surprisingly good and a few times, awe-inspiring. The script (in a very good German translation by Ruth Deny) was written by Bruce Joel Rubin, who was responsible for the screenplay of the 1990 film as well.

When Ghost the movie premiered in 1990, it became an instant sensation. The combination of romance, comedy and fantasy made for a movie going experience that men and women could relate to. Everyone wanted Demi Moore's haircut, pottery classes and the song Unchained Melody performed at proms and weddings.

by Neil Shurley

'The question is how do you represent these beloved iconic characters and this story without becoming mimics of their work. The answer is to tell the story in the best way that our actors and their gifts could tell it, making it their own and bringing the theatrical elements that we can produce on a thrust stage to support the story and allowing the audience and their imagination to fill in the rest.'
BWW Review: GHOST Wonderfully Haunts at Beef And Boards
by The Marriage Matinee
- Oct 14, 2017
If you are a fan of the cult classic film Ghost, you will enter the musical with high expectations. Luckily, you will not be disappointed because the musical includes the presence of all your favorite lines and the requisite sounds of Unchained Melody underlying some of the most tender moments of this love story. What I found surprising was the ease with which the stars of this cast took on the larger-than-life roles first portrayed by Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, and Whoopi Goldberg.
