RCA Records drops Doja Cat’s melodic, bouncy new single “Vegas” from the ELVIS Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. The soundtrack is set to be released the same date as Baz Luhrmann’s forthcoming film ELVIS, starring Austin Butler and Tom Hanks. The track incorporates “Hound Dog” in a unique, singular way that only Doja Cat could ever do.

“Hope” will debut in Public Service Announcements airing during the CBS Sports and ESPN broadcast coverage of the 2022 PGA Championship from Southern Hills Country Club, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, May 19-22. PSAs featuring “Hope” will also air during the 2022 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship, which will be broadcast on NBC and Golf Channel, May 26-29.

ELVIS is an epic spectacle from filmmaker Baz Luhrmann that explores the life and music of Elvis Presley (Austin Butler) through the prism of his relationship with his manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Tom Hanks). The soundtrack features Elvis’s body of work spanning the 1950s, 60s and 70s, while also celebrating his diverse musical influences.

There’s something special about being the first audiences to see a new musical. For a musical theatre nerd like me, it is a thrill that is practically unmatched. And since I don’t live in New York City or thereabouts anymore, it is not something that happens that often. Which is why I was excited to be sitting in the audience for the first performance of an original musical, GORGEOUS, at the Renaissance Theatre Company.
