Last Friday, October 9, noted orchestrator and conductor Fred Barton presented the music of Broadway and the American Songbook to the Schimmel Center at Pace University, in AMERICAN SHOWSTOPPERS: AN EVENING OF JOHNNY MERCER. In his seventh concert at Pace, Fred Barton brings the power of Mercer's music and lyrics front and center, with a 14-piece orchestra and a cast of 16 Broadway singers and dancers, with direction and choreography by Scott Thompson. The cast was headlined by Damon Kirsche, Tony nominee Lee Roy Reams, two time Tony nominee Vivian Reed, Nick Spangler, Tony Nominee Lauren Worsham, and Tony Award winner Karen Ziemba. Ghostlight Records just celebrated the physical CD release of the Original Broadway Cast Recording for It Shoulda Been You with a special in-store performance and CD signing at Barnes & Noble last night. The show's director David Hyde Pierce hosted, joined by cast members Sierra Boggess, Lisa Howard, Montego Glover, Chip Zien, Adam Heller, Michael X. Martin, Anne L. Nathan, Nick Spangler and Edward Hibbert.

Ghostlight Records released the Original Broadway Cast Recording of IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU - starring Tyne Daly, Harriet Harris, Sierra Boggess and Lisa Howard - in digital formats just last month and with the physical CD online and in stores on Friday, October 9, 2015. To celebrate the release, the company is set to reunite at the Upper East Side Barnes & Noble (150 East 86th Street) on Monday, October 12 (7PM) to perform and sign albums.

Actors' Equity Association today named It Shoulda Been You recipient of the 'Extraordinary Excellence in Diversity on Broadway' Award for the 2014-15 theatrical season. Presented by Equity's National Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Committee, the award honors shows that exemplify and promote the union's founding principles of diversity, inclusion and equal opportunity for all who work in the theatre. Accepting the award on behalf of the It Shoulda Been You producers and creative team was producer Daryl Roth. Also in attendance were cast members Edward Hibbert and Jillian Louis, director David Hyde Pierce, composer Barbara Anselmi, co-lyricist and librettist Brian Hargrove and the production's stage management team: Bess Marie Glorioso, Katherine Shea and Melanie Morgan.

The Original Broadway cast album for It Shoulda Been You was recorded by Ghostlight Records and will be available for purchase digitally on Friday, August 14, 2015 and physically on Friday, September 18, 2015. Licensing for future productions of the hilarious, crowd-pleasing musical will be available through Music Theatre International (MTI). The Wednesday, July 15, 2015 matinee performance of It Shoulda Been You will be filmed for the Lincoln Center Library for the Performing Arts and preserved for the Theatre on Film and Tape Archive.
