The Skivvies to Team Up with DESPERATE MEASURES for Concert at the York

Yee Haw! Get out your fancy undies! For one night only, the hot musical duo The Skivvies Lauren Molina (Bella Rose in The York's current production of Desperate Measures) and Nick Cearley will team up with the cast of the new hit Off-Broadway musical Desperate Measures, and more, for the most outrageous, feel-good 'undie-rock' concert that The York Theatre can hold.

The York Theatre Company production of Desperate Measures, the knee-slappin' new musical with a nod to Shakespeare's Measure for Measure, with book and lyrics by Peter Kellogg (Anna Karenina) and music by David Friedman (Scandalous), presented in association with Cecilia Lin and Hu Guo, is now in performance through Sunday, October 15, 2017 at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (619 Lexington Avenue, entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

Bucks County Playhouse Will Do the Time Warp Again This Fall; Randy Harrison Joins THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW

Continuing a Halloween-season tradition that resumed in 2013, shortly after the opening of the historic New Hope venue, Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) will once again present its popular production of Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show for an extended run beginning Friday, October 13 through Sunday, October 29. Bucks County Playhouse's Executive Producer Robyn Goodman, Producing Director Alexander Fraser and Producers Stephen Kocis and Joshua Fiedler announced final casting for the production, which features direction by Hunter Foster (BCP's Clue: On Stage and Guys and Dolls ) with choreography by Lorin Latarro (BCP's Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story and Broadway's Waitress ).

Bay Street Theater's Bay Street Under the Stars series presents FREE concert readings of plays and musicals in Mashashimuet Park every summer. This year, Bay Street will present Kiss Me, Kate with a book by Bella and Sam Spewack and music and lyrics by Cole Porter, tonight and tomorrow, August 25 & 26 at 7pm.

The Skivvies to Return to A.C.T. This June with THE SKIVVIES: PRIDE ROCK

They're back - and they're shedding all inhibitions to kick off San Francisco Pride!  Following a sold-out engagement this past December, the "musically thrilling," award-winning, undie-rock, comedy-pop duo The Skivvies - featuring Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley-return to American Conservatory Theater for a special three-performance engagement of their all-new show, The Skivvies: Pride Rock, featuring eclectic covers, wacky mash-ups and eccentric originals.

The Skivvies' Nick Cearley to Lead AN ACT OF GOD at B Street Theatre

A series of tweets on the parody account @TheTweetofGod landed American comedy writer David Javerbaum a book deal. Eventually that book, The Last Testament: A Memoir By God, was adapted for the stage and renamed as An Act of God. The stage version premiered at Broadway's Studio 54 Theatre in 2015 with Big Bang Theory sitcom star Jim Parsons in the leading role. A second run featured Will & Grace's Sean Hayes in the leading role, and now the B Street Theatre will give the holy role to Nick Cearley (Buyer & Cellar).

The Skivvies are Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley, singer/actor/musicians performing stripped down arrangements of eclectic covers and eccentric originals. Not only is the music stripped down - cello, ukulele, glockenspiel, melodica - but the Skivvies literally strip down to their underwear to perform.
