VILLAIN: DEBLANKS to Bring Laughs Weekly to The Green Room 42 This Summer

This summer, the fun starts on Wednesday nights! Beginning June 21, audience favorite Villain: DeBlanks will be (VERB)_____-ing midtown at the Yotel hotel, with a different cast each week.

Starring Tony-nominee Brenda Braxton, the fill-in-the-blanks comedy will also feature an array of performers from Tony winners (Randy Graff, Daisy Eagan), to comic wizards (Maulik Pancholy, Allison Castillo, Micah Stock), nightclub legends (Billy Stritch), Broadway regulars (Capathia Jenkins, Bernard Dotson, Jessica Vosk), downtown darlings (Molly Pope, Erik Ransom, The Skivvies: Nick Cearley & Lauren Molina), and a multitude of others.

After almost three years of semi-regular benefit events, this will be Villain: DeBlanks' first outing as weekly performances, but still a portion of proceeds will be donated -- this time to the good folks at Lambda Legal. Brenda Braxton presents this nine-week run with the hope of having the schedule extended into the fall. "Villain: DeBlanks tickles my (NOUN)_________!" she says. "It's an amazing vehicle that quenches my thirst for comedy -- and for giving back."

A Time Out NY Critics' Pick written by Billy Mitchell, Villain: DeBlanks is the uproarious improvisational comedy where the cast says words you put in their mouths. The audience provides nouns, adjectives, verbs, etc. (the wilder, the better), and the actors provide the laughs-uncensored and unrehearsed-as they enact the story of Philip DeBlanks' untimely demise. It's "Clue" meets adult "Mad Libs," and it's never the same show twice.
