a?oeHow we gonna pay last yeara??s rent?a?? sang the two lead characters, Mark Cohen and Roger Davis on the opening night in the first song on April 29,1996 on Broadway at the Nederlander Theatre. The show that went on to win the Tony Award for Best Musical that year and change musical theater history forever was, of course, Jonathan Larsona??s RENT and the original Broadway lead who brought life to Roger Davis was the Tony Award nominated performer, Adam Pascal.

Claybourne was set to appear in COMPANY, his fourth Broadway show, as the flight attendant, Andy, who you might know better as April in the original version.

Someone from the Programming Team has heard a young artist play somewhere and has decided they have what it takes to be a part of one of JALCa??s performances, whether it be the late night set in Dizzya??s Club, teaching in one of the Jazz Education events or performing in the educational Jazz for Young People shows or playing on the big stage, the room specifically designed for Jazz music where the famed Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra plays, the 1,233 seat Rose Theater.

Liz is the type of performer that commands your attention when she enters the stage and keeps hold of it with her powerful dramatic soprano voice and formidable presence. She works constantly in her chosen field and ita??s pretty easy to see why.
