The Old Globe will expand San Diego's celebration of the holidays with a world premiere American musical about family, faith, and the magic of Christmas. The Globe is delighted to announce the complete cast and creative team for Looking for Christmas, the new Clint Black Christmas musical, inspired by the country music legend's 1995 chart-topping holiday album. With music and lyrics by Clint Black, book by James D. Sasser with Black, based on an idea by Sasser and Black, music supervision and music direction by Matt Hinkley, and directed by Kent Nicholson, Looking for Christmas will run November 11 - December 16, 2018 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Tickets start at $39.00 and are on sale to the general public now. Previews run November 11-19. Opening night is Tuesday, November 20 at 8:00 p.m.

11th Hour Theatre Company announces a new twist to its Spotlight Series. This annual series of one-night only events, designed to put local favorite musical theatre performers front and center, will now feature some up-and-coming Philly artists that the company thinks audiences should get know. The evenings are hosted by 11th Hour favorites. All of the performances will coincide with 11th Hour's Next Step Concert Series. These special events will be performed this season at The Proscenium Theatre at The Drake, 302 South Hicks Street. The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Executive Director), dedicated to the development of new musicals and rediscovery of musical gems from the past, presents the Off-Broadway premiere of the acclaimed new musical Midnight at The Never Get, with book, music, and lyrics by Mark Sonnenblick, co-conceived by Sam Bolen, by arrangement with Visceral Entertainment and Mark Cortale Productions. The world premiere of the new play Eight Tales of Pedro will be part of the unFringed Festival at the Secret Theatre. Written by Mark-Eugene Garcia (Standby, Facing East: A New Musical, The Holy Cows of Credence South Dakota), the production is directed by Rodrigo Ernesto Bolanos (Unmissed Connections, The Holy Cows...) and will begin on August 12th and run through the 29th at the Secret Theatre in Long Island City. The story is based on the Spanish tales of Pedro Urdemales and the Puerto Rican tales of Juan Bobo.
