Hampstead Theatre announces the first two productions for 2018.

Ars Nova, in association with Ma-Yi Theater and Woodshed Collective, presents the world premiere of KPOP, a high-octane immersive event that gives you a backstage pass to a K-pop music factory.

Due to popular demand, Ars Nova, in association with Ma-Yi Theater and Woodshed Collective, has released a new block of tickets and has added performances (September 16 & 30 at 3pm) to the world premiere of KPOP, a high-octane immersive event that gives you a backstage pass to a K-pop music factory.

Award-winning actor and writer, Dominique Salerno, premiered the solo-show at FringeNYC in 2016 where it played to packed houses and was awarded an Overall Excellence Award in Solo Performance. THE BOX SHOW also had a successful run at the Fringe Encore Series where it was selected (among nine other plays out of 200) to have an extended run at the Soho Playhouse. In September 2016, the comedic show played at the United Solo Festival on Theatre Row where it was awarded best comedic script. 

The New Brooklyn Theatre will present PRECIOUS THINGS, an evening of two one-act plays by playwright and television scribe Wil Calhoun, at the Studio Theatre on Theatre Row from September 7 through 9. These exciting preview performances--for which tickets are free!--will mark a chance to see PRECIOUS THINGS in advance of a full production by the company next year. 

Following a successful summer run of Aaron Posner's play Life Sucks, Company of Fools' 22nd season of theatre continues this fall with a production of BRIGHT HALF LIFE by playwright Tanya Barfield. Company of Fools' Interim Artistic Director, Ilana Becker, will direct the play, which runs Sept. 27-Oct. 14, 2017, at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey.

59E59 Theaters will host the New York premiere of NO WAKE, written by William Donnelly and directed by Veronica Brady. Produced by Route 66 Theatre Company and Bella Vita Entertainment, NO WAKE begins performances on Thursday, September 28 for a limited engagement through Sunday, October 15. Press Opening is Wednesday, October 4 at 7:30 PM.

Artists Repertory Theatre launches its 2017/18 season with Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' provocative An Octoroon. An incendiary satire, this bold start to their 35th theatre season is co-directed by Lava Alapai and Artistic Director Damaso Rodriguez.

Richmond Triangle Players launches its 25th Anniversary Season with the first post-New York production of the acclaimed new off-Broadway musical, The View UpStairs.

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the first show of its 2017-2018 Season, the world premiere musical Benny & Joon, with book by Kirsten Guenther, music by Nolan Gasser, and lyrics by Mindi Dickstein.

59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) is thrilled to host the New York City premiere of SMALL WORLD, written by Frederick Stroppel and directed by Joe Brancato. Produced by Penguin Rep, SMALL WORLD begins performances on Wednesday, September 13 for a limited engagement through Saturday, October 7.  Press opening is Sunday, September 17 at 7:15 PM.  The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:15 PM; Friday at 8:15 PM; Saturday at 2:15 PM & 8:15 PM; and Sunday at 3:15 PM & 7:15 PM. Producer Lida Orzeck and Executive Producer Eva Price are pleased to announce the New York premiere of the new play, 20TH CENTURY BLUES, from Susan Smith Blackburn Prize-winner and two-time OBIE Award-winning playwright Susan Miller (My Left Breast). Two-time OBIE Award-winner and Tony Award-nominee Emily Mann (Having Our Say, Anna in the Tropics) will direct the 10-week limited engagement beginning November 12 with performances through January 28 and an official opening night set for November 26. 20TH CENTURY BLUES will play at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 W. 42nd Street).

Access Theater is thrilled to announce the theater companies and artists who have been selected for their upcoming 2017-2018 Residency program. The six theater companies to participate include: Naked Angels, Concrete Temple Theatre, Everyday Inferno, New Light Theater Project, No. 11 Productions, and Thicket & Thistle; the nine individual artists include: Joey Brenneman, Arlene Hutton, Wes Goodrich, Lisa Huberman, Steven Meeker Jr., Kyle Metzger/Dina Vovsi, Robert Siverls, and Sarah Wansley.

The Saratoga Shakespeare Company will celebrate the romance and magic of both summer and winter with two of Shakespeare's productions this summer. A Midsummer Night's Dream opens on Tuesday, July 18th and runs through Today, July 29th.

MARY IN THE CLUB by James Presson will be read at Judson Memorial Church on August 4th at 6pm. It stars Olivia Macklin (FOX's upcoming LA to Vegas, HBO's The Young Pope).

Led by Founding Artistic Director Katherine Kovner and Producing Director Roberta Pereira, The Playwrights Realm kicks off their 2017-18 season with the World Premiere of Michael Yates Crowley's The Rape of the Sabine Women, By Grace B. Matthias (August 25 - September 23) at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street project. Directed by Tyne Rafaeli, this complex collision of satire and dark comedy fearlessly explores rape culture in America and was previously developed as part of The Realm's 2014-15 Writing Fellowship.
