Pioneer Theatre Company’s professional production of AIN’T MISBEHAVIN’ is billed as a joyous, feel-good celebration of live theatre, and it doesn’t disappoint. As Equity actors solemnly return to PTC’s stage after an 18-month absence, they elicit tender emotions that eventually explode in elation.

Rowdy and fun, AIN'T MISBEHAVIN' is our joyous celebration of the return of theatre. Closed since March 2020, Pioneer Theatre Company (PTC) opens with Ain't Misbehavin' on September 10, 2021 through September 25, 2021. It will be presented scripts-in-hand, as a concert musical but fully staged with the orchestra on stage.

Tony, Grammy and Emmy winning Hadestown star André De Shields opened his theatrical concert, Black By Popular Demand: A Musical Meditation On How Not To Be Eaten By The Sphinx, at Feinstein's/54 Below on August 3, with performances through August 7.

The season features nine productions exploring stories of contemporary culture, heroic activists, everyday people in extraordinary times, and lots of music. In its 50th season, ASF continues its mission of building community with captivating stories for that speak to and represent all people in the South. 

The show everyone needs to see right now is playing 54 Below and, fortunately, it's playing for the rest of the week. Don't miss it.

De Shields will be joined by vocalists Kimberly Marable, Lori Tishfield, and Freida Williams, with Music Director Sean Mayes on piano and Rudy Bird on percussion.
