Review: THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG Does Everything Right at B Street Theatre

You may have heard that back in the 20th century a guy by the name of Edward Murphy famously said, “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.” Pessimistic? Maybe. Accurate? Definitely, as proven in B Street Theatre’s side-splitting rendition of The Play That Goes Wrong. This award-winning comedy written by members of the aptly named Mischief Theatre Company is a play within a play about things that go, well, wrong.

Interview: Matthew Cavendish Returns Again to PETER PAN GOES WRONG

The West Coast premiere of Mischief Theatre Ltd.’s Peter Pan Goes Wrong opens August 11, 2023, at the Ahmanson (with previews beginning August 8th). Adam Meggido directs the zany cast of Bartley Booz, Matthew Cavendish, Bianca Horn, Harry Kershaw, Chris Leask, Henry Lewis, Ellie Morris, Charlie Russell, Jonathan Sayer, Henry Shields, Greg Tannahill, and Nancy Zamit. The company is completed by Ryan Vincent Anderson, Stephen James Anthony, Fred Gray, and Brenann Stacker. Matthew was most gracious to answer a few of my queries.

THE TIME MACHINE - A COMEDY Will Be Available to Stream Online

Following the recent stage premiere of Steven Canny & John Nicholson’s play, THE TIME MACHINE – A Comedy, starring Michael Dylan (Wilf), Dave Hearn (founding member of the Olivier Award-winning Mischief Theatre, The Goes Wrong Show) and Amy Revelle (Offside), a filmed version of the live show will be available to stream online for two years from Thursday 22 June 2023 at 7.30pm.

Cast Revealed For THE 39 STEPS at Stephen Joseph Theatre This Summer

Casting has been announced for a revival of a hugely popular production of The 39 Steps at Scarborough’s Stephen Joseph Theatre this summer. The show played to packed houses at the North Yorkshire theatre in the summer of 2018. The revival will be a co-production with Keswick’s Theatre by the Lake.
