BWW Preview: Celebrating Nudity, NAKED BOYS SINGING!, an Iconic Musical Revue of Gay Culture, Receives Revival in Sao Paulo

Naked Boys Singing! is a musical revue in the traditional style of American vaudeville, with book by Robert Schrock, that features eight actors who sing and dance naked. Directed by Rodrigo Alfer and with Portuguese versions by Rafael Oliveira, the iconic gay musical features André Lau, Aquiles, João Hespanholeto, Luan Carvalho, Lucas Cordeiro, Raphael Mota, Ruan Rairo, Silvano Vieira, Victor Barreto, Tiago Prates and Gabriel Fabri, on the piano.

Stages St. Louis Announces New Artistic Director

STAGES St. Louis is proud to announce that Gayle Seay has accepted the role as the new Artistic Director beginning in 2022. Since 1996, Gayle has worked with STAGES St. Louis previously as an actor, choreographer, associate director and casting director. She shared that she is thrilled to make her second home in St. Louis and looks forward to continuing, diversifying, and growing the legacy that was left by Michael Hamilton.

JEKYLL & HYDE Comes To North Texas Performing Arts Repertory Theater

NTPA Repertory Theatre will present Jekyll & Hyde the Musical October 15-24, 2021 at Rodenbaugh Theatre. Based on the story by Robert Luis Stevenson and featuring a pop rock score from Grammy- and Tony-nominated Frank Wildhorn and Oscar- and Grammy-winning Leslie Bricusse, Jekyll & Hyde is about the epic struggle between good and evil. Brenda Lee e o Palacio das Princesas is a musical that brings a bit of the history of Brenda Lee, called the “guardian angel of transvestites”, activist who founded the first support house for people with HIV/AIDS in Brazil. She has a pension for transvestites who, for the most part, live off prostitution. Despite the reality of violence in which they live, inside the house, the transvestites are welcomed by Brenda, who teaches them to want more out of life.

There is a maximum purchase limit of nine (9) tickets per account for the engagement. When tickets go on sale, prices will range from $49 to $179 with a select number of premium seats available from $299 for all performances.  There will be a lottery for 40 $10 seats for all performances.
